Well, one thing it did show: while there’s been talk of a new “Grayson Jr”, it’s pretty apparent the video shows us the behavior of “Grayson Senior”.

Like I mentioned in another thread after Kobe's death ESPN said if Kobe had gone to college Dook would have been one of the top teams among consideration. Now I think Kobe did say that after rat coached him with team USA as a grown man, not when he was making that decision. His dad actually was a coach at Lasalle and a lot of people say he would have gone there, but it's ESPN so here goes the agenda.

The next day on Sportscenter before they go to the interview of rat and the game highlights they actually say, Kobe said if he had gone to college he would have gone to Dook. LMFAO No shame from rat or their media machine. So not only does ESPN and rat take the statement from a long time ago out of context since Kobe had been a pro for years when he made that statement, but then they actually change the dead man's words.[sick]

Surely any idiot can see through this garbage. Just own it. You couldn't hear exactly what they were chanting because you're getting old. You went to defend your former assistant, who will be the guy you cut loose when these allegations of paying players comes out. That's it.
Too bad no one defended Coach Rupp as he got older, but then he never forgot the difference between telling the truth and lying.

And in deference to this soulful revelation, ESPN’s annual “Duke deserves a 1 seed” campaign will assume a renewed urgency this year.

Of his "fragile emotional state" because of the death of Kobe. This guy is unreal. Just like the Oregon fiasco K will never admit that he made a mistake. It always ends up as an oh poor coach K is suffering. What a joke.
21Goose love the name. Really started being emotionally invested in the Cats during the 75 season when Goose was a freshman. Loved how he ended his Kentucky career with 41 on Duke.

That's disgusting. To use an excuse of a tragedy for the same boorish behavior he's shown at other times. I don't doubt he was saddened, but if you are this unhinged and incapable of functioning maybe it's time to retire? Nobody is saying the guy can't coach anymore but if you are this much of a prick and then lie to protect your image and use a tragedy to do so? Sad.

I was 10 in 1978 and my nickname has been Goose ever since. I've been lucky enough to have met him on multiple occasions and am happy to say Jack is a great guy. Go Cats!

I clicked on this thread fully expecting a link to an article by The Onion or some other fake news. What the actual ****.

You have to give CBS some credit for ending the article with this:

"Nowhere in the report is any sign that an apology was made toward the college students he admonished. The closest thing to that was the quote he gave the reporters on Wednesday where he apologized for misunderstanding what the students said, but added that he thought the chant shouldn't have happened so early in the game."

Would he ever admit that his actions, no matter the reason, where wrong? Not a chance.

Reminds me of Pitino and his Kennedy comment.
Rick Pitino would be proud to come up with this excuse.

I kind of expect him to steal it if he has any personal drama come up this time next year.

Surely any idiot can see it, true. But there are too idiots with journalism degrees these days.
