If true, its not underwhelming as much as it is "doesn't move the needle" in my opinion. Hopefully they pay him more than they did Telford (I heard Telford got also paid from HWC).

Positives:
1. He is younger than Telford
2. According to some poster(s) on here he is pretty popular with the guys
3. Probably will be good practice partners 184- heavy
4. He has pretty decent social media skills
5. He was a pretty good rider in college

Negatives:
1. He was not an offensive wrestler in any way shape or form, I guess it doesn't mean he'd be a block and hand fighting coach
2. lol he's totally gonna be a block and hand fighting coach...lol
3. He is absolutely a yes man to Brands, not that I was expecting an assistant to challenge Brands, but its perception nonetheless
4. Guessing what limited social media he has been doing will done and gone
5. He was a good rider in college, but today's wrestling is takedowns and scrambling

Just a dumb opinion...one thought...maybe the applicant pool for an 4th assistant at Iowa is not very deep?

Guess we shall see.

Disappointing really but we weren't going to be attracting the names we're throwing out there as the 3rd assistant. To get a Yianni or Nolf it would have to be first seat, but also I think an issue is that the Brands aren't comfortable going outside of their sphere of influence. An outside voice of the program like a Yianni or Nolf would be tantamount to and insurrection to the regime. No major shift until complete regime change. I'll just root for JWar in the position he's placed in and hope for the best at this point.

Interesting connection with Bobby Nic, maybe?

Cheerleader of the Brands Bros. Shocker. This shows how un serious this program is at getting better
Well he did get at least two takedowns while at Iowa. That’s at least two more than most of us so we can’t comment on this hire because we aren’t experts. Kids will be lining up wanting to learn from the offensive gurus Warner and Morningstar.
