Ole Miss seems to have overcome it. If they can so can we. You are leaving out the opportunity for playing time. There are a lot of variables if the money is close.
You’re right because their football business operation is 3-4 years ahead of ours.

OM and &tate are not the same. They have 60k energetic fans at a game. &tate games are like a wake most of the time with 30k. They win. &tate does not. Their fans buy in to NIl and merch. &tate fans ***** about logos and wear camo 85 baseball tshirts to ball games.

I've said enough.

Back to the original topic.... after thinking about this.... that $30 million figure that gets tossed around... probably includes $20 of rev share that the school is pitching in now. Which explains why our number would jump up.

The Rev share helps like it does everywhere but we are north of 30MM and a majority of that is funded not by Rev share.

I know I’ve been $hitting on Lebby for awhile, and I’ll continue to do so until he gives us a good reason not to, but I will say that the look of this transfer class is very different than years past. The ratings may not indicate it, but when the majority of the schools are LSU, OU, and USC instead of Old Dominion, Troy, and Ark St, it gives me a much better feeling.

Actually.......

It's kinda been the opposite for us. We aren't getting good value out of P4 benchwarmers, but are with G6 risers. It's another strike against Lenny

You are a complete idiot… BT. Bench on both Texas and OU. Led the SEC in receiving. Evan’s didn’t do anything at UGA was productive here top 10 SEC Receiving. Bledsoe Sylla and Reed productive on DL after being on the bench at Texas, Texas AM and AU
Manning from JMU and Whitson from Coastal (2 games) only real production from g6

It's wild that the rankings systems are so far apart on different sites. Neither of them have truly figured out portal rankings out IMO. We are #11 in the nation in portal rankings with On3 and 32nd on 247. Wildly different opinions on our class.

On3 ranks it on what you've signed as well as who is transferring out. 247 ranks just on the new players coming in not those transferring out.

One is winning and one is not. Flip the script and State is the one with a packed stadium and theirs would be a funeral.

It’s really that simple. Win football games.

I don't think they'll ever be very good. How are you going to update rankings on people that didn't play the year before? Best I think they can do is if they are sitting behind a good player, keep their high school ranking. IF they are sitting behind a bad player (or not getting time at all on a weak unit), then you drop them. But even then, for Freshmen, how many four starts are really good their first year anyway? Certainly plenty are, but plenty others are on the bench for a year even at mid level teams before turning into good college players.

It’s so dumb to me that we signed 2 guys who were 4 star high school offensive linemen and then they are a 3 star the very next year with no tape. No one starts as a true freshman up front. What changed for their ranking to change?
