Newspapers don't cover sports like they used to either. I don't think it is for lack of effort but mostly lack of staff. Most people go online or social media for news now so they aren't making money off the physical copy papers anymore which has resulted in smaller staff.
Sad to say, but newspapers are going the way of the buggy whip...... You have to be on social media to give, or get news. I don't remember the last time that I picked up a newspaper or watched the news on TV.

I used to love getting the paper on Sat mornings with the college game predictions in state of NC.

14-7 East Duplin at the half.

Neither team has been super impressive on offense so far. Clinton is loading the box against the Panthers. ED did have a goal line stop earlier in the game and Clinton has missed a FG.

East Duplin 28-7
3:52 in the 3rd

Halftime adjustments are a real thing. Panthers coaching staff is showing that.

Yeah I was telling a friend it would take a complete game from Clinton to get the W. We seen kinda the same thing play out where they kinda just go thru a period where it all goes to hell and then they look up and it’s too late the hole is to big to climb out of. Happen vs Midway, happened vs Whiteville and it happened again tonight.
Hats off to East Duplin that defensive front was the difference seemed like they were in the backfield all night.

turning point my opinion 3rd and 18 and busting out a 47 yarder never looked back after that.

If the Horses had decided to play the 2nd and 3rd qtr they might could have won this game, It seemed lik we're just walking though the motions.. These two teams will most likely play again the the playoffs in about 5 weeks Hopefully they'll have a better more agressive frame of mind. Ya gotta play the whole game, not just parts of it and get some getthyup in their step even coming on and off there field.

That’s a good point about coming on and off the field. We hate to see kids dragging their ***. You don’t do it in practice either. You run to the practice field. Taking a water break? You run to the watering area and back. There is no walking.

Yeah it’s definitely a couple teams I rather not see in the playoffs. That High Point Andrews team not sure how much they bring back but just out athleted us too much speed we couldn’t match it. Southwest Edgecombe, West Craven a couple others come to mind definitely more than couple solid teams in the 4A East. They may be slightly down from their championship years but Reidsville still out there somewhere definitely not a pushover.

Otis1144, we’re on the sam sheet of music. There were times last night I wondered if they really wanted to play the game
East Duplin ran everywhere they sent, sometimes overtop of us.

East Duplin wore down the Clinton Players, they were tired. I don't believe it was just the players going through the motions as you or someone stated, they were just TIRED.

You just proved the whole point of what we said with that statement.
