Rotation scary thin right now. Going to need some minutes out of Reiber and Duke up front.

Ugh, I really don’t understand why this team doesn’t have more depth. That’s the one issue I have

Jerry Carino reports multiple games for Cliff and another week for Mag.
Duke is all we have, I don’t think Oscar is ready.
Going to be a lot of minutes for our top 6 players

The only game it will really hurt is the Iowa game and we have 11 days before that game so may be he will be back by then; We just need Duocore to give us hopefully 6-7 minutes for the next few games.

Regardless, Ohio State will not have a height advantage with their post players at 6'8" and 6'7", and small ball may very well be effective against them. Purdue is a different story with Trevion Williams and Edey at 7'4".

It is what it is. Duke will need to play his best ball and I'm sure Reiber will get minutes as well.

For Purdue I was thinking Reiber who adds a little more height, but yes, Oskar should also get playing time. Both Reiber and Oskar played in the non-conference games, and need to log some minutes for the purpose of keeping the starters fresh.

As soon as league play began, coach did not use Reiber or Oskar..... he may have to put ar least one of them in and hope we get by...... Doucoure I would not hesitate to put in the 5-7 minutes he would be needed....

I am going to be positive here......

We don't have perceived depth because our best 5-6 guys are so good and playing at a top 10 level so there is a huge drop off.

In the past we some players that got default minutes and the guys behind them were not much different in talent. we had depth of mediocre players. No need to go in to names.

No big deal. this team is tough. let's be honest duke is not much different than shaq. All we need is 5-10 minutes of good defense and rebounding....

The good news about this is we will see what this team is made of. If we are really a top 10 team than we still win without cliff. Plain and simple.

Just ask Duke to grab a few rebounds, play defense and use up his fouls while Myles gets a breather. We pretty much beat Illinois without a contribution from Cliff. He was not effective when he was in there

Did anyone read it closely?
"a knee injury that may sideline him for multiple games"
Anyone who has played sports, especially college or higher, knows it's never as long as reported. Unless it's a major injury, coaches air on the side of caution. Baker was supposed to be out until the end of the year. Eugene Omoruyi (twice) was supposed to be out for weeks, and both ended up coming back much sooner. The way athletes rehab is different than the average Joe when he goes to rehab.

We have Douc. Last year it was worse for our big men in terms of depth. WTF do you expect. You want 3 big men as good as myles and cliff? Or do you expect pike to have 4 as good... Unreal.
Geez didn’t realize I struck a nerve here. Not bashing Pike. I think it’s pretty reasonable only having 7 guys who play regularly is a concern

Duke is way different than Shaq. Duke is lost. Regardless, it’s time for him to step up. He’s using up a scholarship and has been here 3 years already.

Even if it were miniscus related in most cases he would in today’s sports world back in 4 weeks... If it were ligaments longer... much longer...From reports it sounds like it’s not major... the way he walked out with the brace looked like a milder sprain... I also kept watching the replay where he goes down but can not see whether he was hit on it ... twisted it or popped something... get better B1G Cliff🪓🪓🪓🪓🪓

Johnson has been a lot better all around, especially in terms of fouls. If they rotate the other guys in and out as the game(s) go, it will make it less likely he gets into foul trouble which could be a real disaster.

Eugene dislocated his kneecap and was back within 2 weeks or so. This injury should have been more than a month or even the rest of the season. Baker's ankle (high) should have been longer too. At Colorado, I popped my shoulder out of place along with an issue in the joint, but I didn't miss any time, thanks to a bye week. Originally, I was told I could miss several (up to 4 to 5) weeks. If the player is committed to getting over the injury, time is just a number.
