I really hope he can play in NBA one day.
I disagree with Pike in that regard. I love when Cliff shoots the mid range. Even if he doesn’t make it, it forces the other bigs to have to come out and guard away from the hoop. It should allow our guards to rebound. McConnell and Mulcahy can clean up the boards and even Miller has shown he can grab a rebound. He is not allowed to take this shot right now. He is capable not sure at what clip he would hit it though but we’ll never know. Big reason why the G league is going to come calling in the offseason and potential win him over with the selling point of improved development.
Steve would have to allow dumping the ball into him and not just running plays for him that are alley oops. He’s not featured enough on offense. He doesn’t have to be the one to take the shot but we don’t run an offense where he is a threat where others can play off of him. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening next year with Cliff either.Cliff will develop into close to a 20pt, 10 rebound guy next season, if he continues to develop at this pace. He has a nice looking outside shot, to go along with his ultra quick hops, and his rebounding will be elite by end of the year into next. Maybe add 10-20 lbs of good weight to his frame and his skills, he will be one of the best bigs in the country next year.
20-21 3.8 pts, 4.0 reb
21-22 11.7 pts, 7.5 reb (+7.9, +3.5)
