Football Cleveland County

[crestrulz]

Oh yeah. It might have been a couple years since we win the BS. But it hasn’t been but one year since we won the SC.

You?

Y’all got it way easier than we got it this year. Go do it. If you were in 5A this year. You’re already out.

[ShutdownD24 2.0]

I was just pointing out that it happens from everywhere.

I didn’t see Crest fans do that. If they did ’em too. Maybe I’m wrong but shouldn’t the mental have been worked out? To me that’s coaching.

What more did they need to start working on it. I mean after the SP game and all.

Judt because we talk doesn’t mean we’re football ignorant. SP showed us all what to do. They even showed KM

We learned. KM

I agree that SP cracked the code and that’s what we will see from teams moving forward. I am talking about how our young guys handle adversity when I say the mental part of the game. A football game is four qtrs. One of the best attributes of CC football teams historically has always been the ability to fight back under adversity. If I am honest I will say that this year’s team we are great front runners but we have not handled adversity well as a team. I tip my hat to Shelby because when they got down 21-0 Friday those kids fought their way back to the light. You gotta give it to them. Throughout the years I’ve seen us do the same thing. We have to find that in ourselves if we wanna be champions. I still believe we have a shot this year but we have to get our mojo back.

[beamer24]

Kids are ruthless today on the barstool post and such.

[Crestufff]

That’s weird and diabolical from ONE poster. We have a couple of jackasses in our fanbase but there is still no comparison to what I see Crest fans post and do consistently. Again good win, yall are good team who put it all together Friday night. It’s been a couple of years since Crest were champs on the Big South. We will go back to the drawing board. We are still a young group who will get better as we master the mental part of the game.

What surprised me most was how many KM fans are dumping on there own team by saying the kids don’t lift weights (like they know) and that they are slow( they have speed like everyone else) the people on this board are the same year end and out..

I agree that this year we have a slightly easier path. I think Crest if they keep it simple has only one potential stumbling block in the 5A west and that is JM Robinson. Both of you will have trouble scoring on the other’s defense. Crest and Robinson are the only two teams in the west that I believe can beat SP. Burns is still my favorite in the 4A but I do think Cramer because of their front seven on defense has a shot.

You have a shot. You are also correct. The talent is there. It’s easy see.

Good luck SD. I hope it works out for us all.

Some people on those boards are always negative and just talk. Most of them with the loudest negative were backups and dummy practice heroes in their playing days. Three weeks ago the exact same people were screaming we were going to win multiple titles lol. Crest was the better team Friday end of story.

In 72 hours looking through all boards, I realized who knows nothing about ball. Quite a few CC posters on here know it well but man some inside and outside of the county only echo what they read online. I am no expert or close to it but some of the stuff I read from ones that claim to know are clueless on what actually happens to prepare and execute. You mentioned the 4 quarters and Burns being up 21. Some fans absolutely dog people and overlook the obvious. The first 3 quarters proved that the team was prepared and coached up. I have never seen a coach say "Ok, were planning for 3 quarters." Accountability has to be put on players too.

In today’s era with today’s parents it impossible to mention accountability with players without parents jumping on social media and losing their minds. Some of today’s helicopter sports parents are delusional when it comes to player accountability. Unfortunately we are in an era where a kid or their parents feelings get hurt they are on the phone or social media talking to representatives of other teams who tell them what they want to hear. In the words of the great Dean Smith “when we lose I should have had them prepared better and when we win it’s all because of the players”.

[2nd To No One]

We could win 6A easily.

5Ais the gauntlet

Is that so?
Then Shelby could win 6A easily.
We took you to overtime on your field, with our QB out for the second half.
Shelby could do well in 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A.

5A Crest has shown it can’t even hang with top 7A.
We wish you the best against your “gauntlet”.
Self fulfilling comment, rulz.

[crestrulz]

lol. You scored 9 on Lincolnton Pal.

Get real. Stay down there where you belong. It’s the only way you win .

The premier HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL TEAM in Cleveland County is the CREST CHARGERS!

We’ll play you Friday. Neither of us have anything to do. Work it out big money.

Your QB would be in the hospital Saturday there’d be pee on your field house and you could give us last years 3A rings and a promissory note for the ones you’ll inevitably skate to this year as well. They’re ours anyway.

Lastly, Crest is the only school that can win the first ever 18A Championship. How, You ask? Glad you did. Follow the math below money bags. It’ll become clearer.

6A + 5A+4A+3A = 18A Champs.

For the glory of Cleveland County the rest of you do your part and we’ll consider it homage to our greatness.

Gotta concur with pops on this one. A Hail Mary TD pass in OT after a sure fire dropped INT that would have sealed the game for Shelby. You let a school 2/3 your size take you to OT and to the wire. A school 2 classifications smaller...kinda embarrassing really.

But why bring up Lincolnton?

[Crest Charger 02]

Shelby folk found their voice again now that they've ran through conference. Otis and the greatest show on earth coming to town in third round.

We progress as the season moves on. No?

Week 2 has nothing to do with week 10. If we played Friday you’d be getting a different Crest team than in week 2.

It goes both ways. I bring up Lincolnton because it doesn’t look like your offense has progressed except to get worse.

Wereas, our offense is progressing nicely and the defense is lights out.

Just like SD told you. Shelby would have got the same treatment last Friday. Mauled.

We defeated you constantly when you were in our classification.
We defeated you at 2A size when you were defending 4A Champions, the highest classification….twice.
You never won a Title when you were in our classification size. You wouldn’t now.
You crow about barely defeating us and you pick from 50% more players in this talent rich county.
You would have no Cleveland County football recognition if not for Shelby’s proven, historic sustained success.
And you have admitted it.
7A and 8A laugh at you, so you think you can dump on us.
Go beat top 7A and 8A teams as a lower classification

We did.

The Shelby Golden Lions are the proven most successful, sustained, winningest high school football program in North Carolina history.
We surpassed only having Cleveland County success a long time ago.
It took Crest gaining substantial student population to compete statewide.
Shelby football can’t control that.
But we don’t hide from it and pretend it is not a factor, as you do. Then pretend as you do to own lower classifications.
Do you have any idea how many current or lower classification programs Shelby has lost to since Crest’s birth in 1968?
The percentage would boggle your mind.
But we care nothing about that.
Just Championships.

So should you.
But you are so jealous of Shelby and what we have, that Crest never will, even since 1968.

Weddington said double up from last years and we have a deal. Ashbrook is also still waiting for their cut on last years since they BS'ed their way to a win. Your rules.... Greenwave said it could say CO-Champs to save on engraving.

Don’t ruin a good time, Sir.

I normally don’t even respond to him but it’s the time of year to drive him nuts. Watch! And I’ve told you before these rules only apply between the County teams.

This, as I have stated so eloquently before on this board, is true.

Shelby once was the class of county and area....but no longer. A great program no doubt...but 1) the level they are playing at doesn't compare to anything 5a and above. The story is told in the last 5 years. Shelby still barely won in 21. Think about this....Crest(edit) has had 3 Head Coaches since the last time Shelby won in a head to head football game vs. them.

Last year's 3a state title game was an abomination to tackle football. Last year's Eastern NC best team representative played defense like "Beetlejuice" from the Howard Stern show talks...... badly.

[BIGSAUSAGES]

Catching up on these posts. Nothing much to see. All I see is Crest fans being Crest fans. For a team with seven championships their fan base always act like asses when they win. “Act like you been here before” has no meaning to the Charger fan base.

And for a team that hasn’t won anything of substance in 102 years you sure did em hype up KM earlier inn the season. Talked about some kind of get back tour well that didn’t work out pal.
KM is being KM we all see it every year.
always the best team yall have , young , we hear it all the time
Crest fans return the favor after the domination Friday and you get all soft
Too bad you couldn’t meet on field and call someone an *** then

We would kill Chase, I know it Festus knows it, Chopper cant remember ten minutes so he has probably forgotten he knows it

Over and out

"kinda" is being real nice. I didn't think it was real good early. But now.....Crest definitely much better. Shelby much worse right now.
Still can't believe the shelby contingent isn't observant to admit that this is their worst offense since they went to AR.

That's what most of them do. They lie!!!

SHS Lion's head is so far up 2nd to None's rectal cavity that True-Dynasty could reach down 2nd to None's throat and pull SHS Lion's teeth. Both of them!

Not near as far as Deboer has his up Crest right now. He claims to know ball like a coach but on here he is blowing way more than a whistle. Here I thought blowing a 21 point lead was bad but he's volunteered to be the pivot man without an invite from the Crest faithful.

Never got past the 2nd round in 2A playoffs. That’s crazy for such a great program as SP ‘s.

[SHS LION]

SHS Lion thinking about yesteryear....when the golden lions were considered a real power.....

That’s me thinking we beat the power house South Point Red Raiders 42 out of 60 games. If we played this year it would be 43 out of 61.

?? I don't claim to know anything. I see what I see & talk about it. I dislike Crest. I will pull for Burns over Crest most anytime truth be known. What has happened on the field, though, despite my many objections of how teams are now formed and allowed - is undeniable.
I think Burns was semi-cheated in the Shelby game. What was it....2 bogus flags got them back into it? Then yall playing so many 2 ways caught up with you. Shelby isn't built like a 3a or 4a team so that's a HUGE disadvantage for all others playing them. With that said...I understand why you all have to have so many go 2 ways given your admin numbers and surrounding recruiters.

[DeBoer31]

SHS Lion.....I now deem you "Cherry Blossom". If you want to know who that is...watch the fantastic Eastbound and Down Show. Little Stevie gets recruited and placed as a geisha lady/server.
You are correct though...the only HS football program who can claim dominance over SP is Shelby. You should be proud of that. But, you would've gotten beaten by 14 this year, 42 last year and probably by 17-21 two years ago. That is the absolute truth. It's a shame we haven't been able to even these numbers out more the last 25 years. I guess we can add Shelby to the list now: EG, SC, Lincolnton, Shelby. I sense a trend.
All y'all play in "Run from SP Conference"
