Lemont Wilson (no relation) was another Kings Mountain kid. To be fair Lemont came over prior to playing varsity football at Burns but he is originally from KM and played for KM Elite all the way up. Zavion was moved up to varsity as a freshman at KM and as a sophomore got a lot of reps at outside linebacker. KM was very high on him but he wanted to play running back.

Lemont...that dude could play. I was always surprised he wasn't featured more...don't know the story there. I think maybe he was TOO versatile???? could be used in too many places and help so didn't stay in just one position? Don't know.
With that said....nobody going to be bold enough to make scored predictions on here about the CC games?

It baffles me that a guy who claims to be as smart as you can’t grasp the concept of cutoffs. Did every school at the lower end of the cutoff get unlucky (yes) and did every school at the upper end of the cutoff get lucky (yes). However just because SC got lucky and ended up at the upper end of 4A instead of the lower end of 5A, doesn’t mean they are supposed to be 5A. I got an idea, take one of your DB’s to Carowinds and when he is an inch too short to ride the roller coaster and some 12 year old kid is 2 inches taller and able to ride it, it may start making some sense.

I claim to be smart? You either know what you know....or you don't know it. There is plenty I don't know. But I am not going to delude myself or anyone else for the sake of being PC. How dull would these boards be if that were the case?
Besides.... a lot of people know as it was told to me the powers that be begged for that slot in that 4a class and to skip conferences.

He who? I also have people who told me how it went down and it contradicts whatever you heard. It really doesn’t matter who is right. Our enrollment has Cramer a 4A school by the parameters set by the NCHSSA, and we will try and do the best in 4A we can.

There is a pretty good player in Gaston County right now who wanted to transfer to SP but that transfer was denied BUT family was told he was approved for a Ashbrook transfer lol. Kid stayed at his current school instead.

KM was Absolutely devastated by injuries. We were missing 8 starters against SP and then we lost our best lineman on the second series of the game. Tex Vaughn didn’t play at SP and KM was on our 5th string running back at SP. Luckily we were able to get a few of those kids back in the playoffs and brought a good group of jv’s up. This was in addition to losing five returning starters to transfer prior to the season last year. This current KM is still a young group who will return 15-16 starters after this season.

OK...so I guess against Ashbrook, SP and Crest they didn't have anybody playing? But amidst those games HH and Ben L. Smith, TCR and N. Guilford they were back? Is everyone playing tonight (this year) by chance?
