On another week of as Cleveland County Turns: It’s been awfully quiet on here lately. How ncpreps CC go zero dark thirty at the same time? What bad news is lurking that most of us don’t know about yet? I did hear about one significant injury to our Golden Lion brethren. Wishing a speedy recovery to that young man. Nothing worse than taking a loss prior to your bye week, I am sure the Mongol hordes in green & gold will bounce back with a vengeance. The Bulldogs and Mountaineers have renewed their fffaaaiiittthhh; Like Eagles ya’ll, like eagles yall they will walk and not grow faint

I don’t wanna say that Burns, Shelby, and KM have byes this week but a crackhead has better odds of winning a world championship in powerlifting than those games have of not being put on a running clock. My plans are to watch the heathens of Belmont play the green slime from New Hope Rd. Hopefully is a five overtime 2-0 win for one of them.

He also mentioned he barely had any carries in the first half. It’s almost as if Burns wore them down and then decided to ground and pound with
Max and co. The defense handled business and the offense took over. Mayfield is good but when your D line and secondary looks like they smoked 10 Marlboros you cannot do it alone. The halftime adjustments were nothing short of phenomenal.

The Dogs got a surprise visit from their classmate Turner Morris today at the team dinner. They have worn a sticker on their helmets showing support for him. He had a bad rodeo accident in the summer leaving him with a broken neck. His message to the team was “Adapt to your situation.” He’s a tough kid and making progress way ahead of schedule. it’s that Viking mascot they have adopted isn’t it Shelby? When it was just a lightning bolt on the side of their helmet there was no fright. But now that a Viking is involved and it is crickets.

Crest and Burns will roll big and expect to. KM has a Bye and until Cramer plays a tough non-conference opponent, they will not be taken serious by the Shelby faithful. Depending on how they do against Shelby will determine how serious we take them. We expect them to be good with what they returned but with that schedule thus far, you cannot tell. They did exactly what they should do.

Seriously though, if NG doesn’t shut it down and plays those games, I wonder if they will do something like they did with Cramer/HT, which was play 8 min quarters instead of 12 min.

North Gaston has been outscored 256-8 this season, with those 8 coming in game 1 against East Gaston. If they end this 4 game stretch with double digits scored it will be major accomplishment.
