I wasn't hating on KM bro. I literally said y'all put the work in. I know it's more than Brinkley. It doesn't hurt to have a man like Brinkley in the fold. But, I know that whole town is involved and that is what it takes.

You are 100 percent correct. Waiting on Cleveland County is DOOM! - Got to go get what you want. PERIOD! We needed a new scoreboard and over 220k was raised in a matter of months. Got to do what you got to do.
No offense taken. I know you and many other of the CC posters on here are aware that we all support our program. That was more so for the outsiders who read these post and run with comments. I am still amazed at the ingenuity of the Crest community who raised that insane amount for the half and half, now that’s the stuff of legend!
To your point on our KM preseason show, one of the hosts on the show mentioned the challenges Gaston County Big South schools have with resources and overall support for their football programs with the exception of South Point. All the GC schools get the same split for athletics but most of those schools struggle to raise additional funds needed to fully support a football program. SP literally donated their OLD weights to Huss who were estatic to receive them after using weights that were over twenty years old. Not that long ago a BC head coach worked his butt off to raise funds so the football team can take a chartered bus to a playoff game to only be told at the last minute that he had to also raise funds to support a charter bus for the cheerleaders or his football team would not be allowed take the chartered bus. We are indeed blessed in CC from a support standpoint because I can write a book on some of the insane lack of support things that has happened in our neighboring county to the east.

We are indeed blessed my friend. I thank God everyday that I am not from Gaston County. I feel bad for their kids. There is no reason GC shouldn't have legitimate powerhouses if they'd just get their :poop: together.

I agree brother. The talent base has always been there for the most part but the entitlement, lack of support, nepotism, and unrealistic thinking throughout that county as related to high school football overall is sad. Again South Point is the exception.

Always nice to get an early look at our Cleveland County teams with the Jamboree. With that being said, 15 dollar tickets with 10 dollar parking is a little much. 70 dollars for a family of 4 to watch...practice. If you hope to eat, you've dropped 100 dollars easy.

Gardner Webb SUCKS!. I hate they moved it off the High Schools. They wanted nothing to do with us until they started going broke.

Been told this little nugget of info. So Crest plays at 6. They finish up and head back to the school. If a player decides to come back over and watch some of the later match ups they are expected to pay the 15 to get in and 10 dollar parking. Seems to me we can do better for these young people. If this is true, shame on the higher ups that are allowing it to go on.

That’s pitiful. Gardner Webb is straight 💩. Got to get this moved out of there.

This needs to go back to the schools one way or the other. GWU uses this as a cash grab. One of the most expensive schools to go to and it does not matter. They just now really started recruiting this county more but GWU could really show a little more support and not rob people.

Shutdown I know you keep up with area kids. So I just picked up my youngest son from MHMS Football and Braylon Clark was the guest speaker (played at MH in middle school). He brought all the kids Adidas cleats. So for all the bad publicity NIL gets from people, he just made a bunch of 12-13 year olds day.
Great job by Braylon. Proud of him. Did your son play on that youth football travel team with Braylon? That group of kids when you see what they are doing in the high school level is extremely impressive.

He is a great kid. My son played with him in 7th and 8th grade (football and basketball) and travel basketball when they were in MS. He didn’t play on those football teams, actually didn’t start playing until 7th grade.

Burns 19
South Meck 6

Burns is stacked along both the OL & DL. Also really deep at RB and WR.
Kept it simple which was obvious. Max barely touched the field. lol Defense was aggressive against the run but secondary was treating it like prevent which I heard we would do tonight. I liked the physicality and loved seeing the younger players come in confident. Bralley looked pretty good for a Freshman even though we didn’t do a whole lot but I don’t think any team did.

Saw Crest and I was pretty impressed with Melton behind center. Kid is tough as nails. Zero panic to him and a tough runner.

Before this season is over two things will happen with Crest offense

1. Brock will end up at Qb running it and running it and running it
2. Thompsons Daddy will be all over facebook fussing about how 1 aint getting the ball enough

Burns offense is gonna be strong, gotta have a passing game

Shelby's defense WAY ahead of offense right now

Well all going to be hard to handle before end of season... all should be excited

Oh yeah this freshman QB had an arm NO DOUBT at KM

KM QB is the real deal. Your first drive as a QB and as a team goes the length of the field and takes 6 min off the clock. Who wouldn’t take that against a team like Myers Park.

I thought Case looked really good considering it was his first high school drive. Had a big completion on 3rd or 4th down (think it was 4th but not 100% sure) to keep a drive going and ended up with a TD in his only drive. He's gonna be a good one.
