My hope is new NG guy is able to get anything out of that program.
I wouldn’t hold my breath. NG has a pretty good talent base to draw from. There have been a lot of new homes built in and around the Dallas area. Their first issue is keeping their young talent and upcoming young talent at NG. The last couple of years NG has definitely been hurt by kids going to other county schools and one county school in particular at the moment. (2) NG is a difficult place to build a solid program because believe it or not, there are a lot of behind the scenes school/community/county politics a coach will have to navigate at that place. Those politics make it hard to build and maintain a competent staff (3) Facilities and Resources. NG is one of the GC schools that make it extremely difficult for a football coach to generate funds for their program. There is nothing like a football coach working hard to raise funds for his program to later be told by their boss that those funds he raised with his sweat need to go to jv soccer or tennis. It’s many things to fix to be a respectable program there.

Sitting on visitors side and getting hit in the head by acorns falling from trees that need to be trimmed is crazy..

KM defeats Riverside to advance to championship against Ambassador Christian. Let’s get our reps in and head to the house. Another good strong week of summer work.
KM and Burns are really getting after it this summer. This County is great because the pressure of what the others schools do makes the others step up to the plate

Each schools has traits about them that I admire and I agree that the competitiveness and championship pedigree in the county pushes each school. All four schools have GREAT work ethics and we know at KM that when we cross Buffalo Creek it’s real. Shelby and Crest both demand excellence of themselves and have the titles to prove it. Burns is like that quiet, underrated brawler that you might beat but you gonna get lumped up and feel it even more the next day. If you don’t work hard in Cleveland County as a program you will definitely be embarrassed when you run into the other county teams.

Can someone post the 2026 Jamboree schedule? I was hearing that it will be a good group of teams coming in. I am hearing that we have Freedom in the jamboree but I haven’t confirmed. Wondering who all is coming.

congratulations to Crest wideout Namajay Thompson on his commitment to Florida State!

I wish they would start using another word other than committed. None of these talented athletes seem to be very committed to any university today. They are committed to self and chasing a paycheck. NIL and the transfer portal have ruined college football. Just use the word enrolled......you know like enrolled for now, until I can start getting paid either where I am or somewhere else I can sell my talents to later. Education? Nah, doesn't matter. I'm just gonna take some basket weaving and kick some butt.

I am not quite understanding why you posted YOUR opinion under a post where we are congratulating one of our young people. No matter how any of us feel these are still high school children who have achieved something that many people have not achieved, cannot achieve, or didn’t have the opportunity to achieve. If you want to start a rant about what’s going on in high school or college sports than you are more than welcome to create a post with that as a topic. As adults let’s not take away from this young man’s achievement with our negativity on a congratulatory post.

Facts. No one also talks about the coaches telling players/recruits that he loves his school and isn’t going anywhere than chucking the dueces to those same kids a day later to take a different coaching job.
