Actually not many bro. The last time we had high caliber players leave was when we hired Senseney. Sure we have lost a few here and there that were not what you would call a stud but Devine has done a great job of keeping them at home. We lost two last year because of nothing more than accountability. Wright from the middle school has been planning to go to Crest since I coached him in elementary to follow his dads path. I was not dogging KM on that post at all. I was surprised with the hype this offseason has had that anyone would entertain leaving. It sounds like they chose not to.
Go ahead but make sure you also post how big of an impact they had. Greene and Ramseur are the last ones that hurt us but since Devine took the job we have been fine.

But let’s put this game in perspective.
3A Shelby beat 4A Crest in 1993.
3A Shelby, with 2A numbers beat 4A Crest in 1995.
2A Shelby beat 4A Crest in 1997.
Crest was 4A State Champs in 1994.
Crest was 4A State Champs in 1996, and nationally ranked.
So at the highest height of Crest Football in history….Shelby won 3 out of the 5 years with much smaller enrollment.
So when crestrulz and his disciples obsess over the last four years of Crest victories over a still smaller school program at Shelby, a brief study of longer term history makes him look foolish and jealous.
Shelby has nothing more to prove in their series with Crest, and hasn’t for decades.
Here goes this space cadet again. Nobody here cares about Shelby and all your JV titles. How about 98 when you won a title and 6-6 Crest beat you on your home field? How about 13 when you won a title and Crest beat you by 5 touchdowns? How about the last four years? You guys definitely care about Crest. We will be leading that series pretty soon despite handing you a huge lead at the beginning.
Odd that history stopped in 1997. For more perspective we can look at what happened in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002. Big SheLLLLLby in action those years. Or a dive back in history to highest of heights for Shelby:

I watched the Hunt game and my opinion on Hunt is they were absolutely horrible.
Noticed I stated the kid WILL be a stud. Entertaining leaving had nothing to do with the coaches. Today’s parents and kids are different.
Hunt looked to be very young and not very deep last year. Getting some young guys to move up and some guys back from injury could make them a dangerous team.
That Hunt team played a lot of younger guys and should be pretty good this year. Hunt will return most of their starters for the upcoming season. I have them favored to return to represent the East.
The 5A West will be hyper competitive. I believe the Chargers biggest barriers will be JM Robinson and Hickory in the West. Robinson will be a load this season.
Hunt was awful. Look at the scrub squads around them.

He was 0/6 in the title game. No wore than a 5 loss team looking like traffic cones on defense in 3A.
That doesn’t make them a bad team. Just a different style of play. The Hunt front 7 on defense was very athletic and very good.
You should know. All Shelby does after the second game of the year is play horrible teams. I mean horrible. They SUCK!! The team you beat to win that jv ring didn't even bring a defense with them. Then you brag on scoring 84. Crest would could have dropped 80 on them easy and we'd have held them to 6..
But you will never mention the previous four games Crest played to get there. You know why? Because if you played East Lincoln then South Point and Hickory on the road you don't beat any of them. You don't win

That's stupid. Crest beat Shelby by 1 touchdown in August and Shelby was driving to win the game. You killed SP, EL, and Hickory. Hunt was HORRIBLE and you know it. Lastly, I can't believe they let you on the computer this early in the morning. That kind of thing is usually frowned upon at Cleveland Pines. They usually make you wait until you've gummed your breakfast down and checked your diaper for nuggets before they let you tell your version of lies.

Lincolnton better stay in the romper room with Shelby........ They'd have never beaten Crest the first time last year.. They don't want it this year either..
On a serious note, I wonder if we will 7 on 7 against you guys this year. I know last year we had the coaches connection so not sure we will do it this year. I hope so, just so I can say we saw every CC team this year in some capacity.
KM boys were telling our boys how bad they were going to beat them in the scrimmage August 14th. Said we wouldn’t cross the 50. They might be right, but I guess we will show up anyway just to see what happens.
