We are literally about 3 months away from the CC Jamboree. Some fun facts about the county football teams.
Last 10 Seasons Cleveland County Football 2015-2025. Shelby has won 83.1% of their total game and 57.5% of their Cleveland County matchups, Kings Mountain has won 81.4% of their total games and 62.5% of their county matchups, Crest has won 78.4% of their total games and 59.3% of their county matchups while Burns has won 60.9% of their total games and 18.1% of their county matchups. Shelby and Crest both begin the last ten years with state titles in 2015 and ended the same period with state titles in 2025. Shelby coincidentally beat Kinston for titles in the beginning of the past ten years 2015 and at the end of the ten years 2025. Shelby won a total of six state titles in this time period(incredible run). Kings Mountain started the 2025 season with the most kids currently playing football at the FBS level followed closely by Shelby and then Crest. Crest will leap frog both KM and Shelby at the start of the 2026 season with the most kids playing at the FBS(D1) level. Currently all four county schools have underclassmen with FBS offers KM(6), Shelby(4), Crest(2), and Burns(1). This number will definitely rise as some of the younger players at the county schools gain exposure. All four schools have pumped out numerous players the last ten years to D2 programs that have had very successful college careers.

Thank you it did take a couple of hours lol. I wanted to add opponents’ win percentage for each team and how the county did overall against outside opponents. That would have taken another few hours.
Let me say that info on Burns football is the hardest to find. Those guys aren’t as active on any of the social media platforms as the other three county programs. For example on Maxpreps Burns only post the player names and positions on their roster. Burns doesn’t include height and weight which does their kids a disservice when it comes to recruiting. In this current era you have to utilize social media effectively.
I keep my kids stuff updated for him, but alot of kids dont have anyone doing that. Every team could use a social media/recruiting coach.
I actually do all the scores/in game updates for Burns football & baseball on MaxPreps. But unfortunately it won't let me do anything with players/stats/schedules. I've tried and requested permission but never been granted it. If I could I'd definitely keep it updated.
Definitely a need. Ive checked some rosters and theyll have 1 player listed. You'd think some computer class in school would have some volunteers to keep it up.

Because of new rules between NCHSAA and Maxpreps, more than likely the head coach or whoever he has managing the Burns Maxpreps football page will need to give you access. NCHSAA has asked schools to make it is as accurate as possible when it comes to scores and data.
Got to come out of that piss poor 480 year old offense. It was only a matter of time. It simply can't move the midgets forward anymore. Plus Stuart Cramer coming on strong has them in a tizzy.

You are right. Cramer have begin getting kids who would normally choose to attend SP. Why would any decent skill guy who aspire to play at the next level choose that SP offense lol.
MaxPreps automatically accepts my scores because I'm an approved scorer, have been for years. But it's all I have access to do on there unfortunately

Some astronomically low percentage of kids play at the next level. Kids will continue to want to play there because (1) they win (2) the culture (3) they grow up through the program - all the way down to Pop Warner
Now, this generation of kids though - they all think they are going D1 and they are all watching college kids move to new schools every single year.
It will be interesting to see how things evolve.
Haters gonna hate but these kids are hungry. I love the direction we are going with coaching, players, player development, resources, and facilities. The stars are aligning as we prepare for the “Get Our Lick Back Tour 2026”. This team will be the beginning of what should be a special and exciting 6-7yr run in Kings Mountain. The potential is insane. Keep blocking out the noise and focus on us. #GDTBAM
