The jealousy over Cleveland County football by little sea biscuit is really sad and pathetic. I guess I'd be upset too if I had to watch my team flame out in the 1st round each year while I watched Shelby and crest win championships on a regular basis.

3 miles apart the way the crow flies! This could be the biggest regular season game in the history of our schools. We've never met at the end of the season both being undefeated for a conference and county championship. What makes this game unbelievably epic is the fact that were BOTH coming off back to back state championship appearances with yall winning last year and us winning both. Plus last year's game was awesome! It's not just my opinion.....based on the facts surrounding this game....this is the BIGGEST game in the state of North Carolina this year hands down!

I hope Crest plays better than they did last night, our defense won that game. If East Burke had been Shelby, 5 turnovers and Crest would have been rolled over like an old rug. Gotta wake up.

You're correct bro. It will be so intense it will seem unreal. I'd like to find any two programs that close together that play football like we do. Epic in every sense of the word. The biggest game County wise EVER.

I wonder is there any concern about the crowd Novemver 6th. There so much buzz surrounding this game. It's going to be more packed than ever before. It makes for a great atmosphere, but I think overflow will be a legitimate concern this year. In previous years, I know they have flirted with the idea of playing this matchup up at Gardner Webb, if GW would allow it. What are you guys thoughts? Keep it traditional, or play it at a larger venue if we can?

It would probably be more comfortable at GW. But the atmosphere would not be the same. Let's pack in like sardines and play football Cleveland County style.

That would be pretty cool to see and I'm sure GW coach wouldnt mind the recruiting visit. Still the game should be at Shelby.

You've never seen anything like what you would witness if both these teams handle their business the couple weeks. Never! Family pitted against family. A true uncivil war. Standing room only. Electric does not describe it. Brutal and beautiful.

True story, I once got in a fight in high school at SP. It was all my fault, but I told the principal that the guy I fought with said that my mother was a ***** from Shelby. He got detention. Times change. You feel me, bholla?

I hate on you because it makes me feel good and I've been feeling good for a long time! Apparently the use of the word thug upsets some Shelby fans that I really like. Therefore, I will now refer to them as miscreant brain donors, mbd for short. Did you see that mbd kick our guy after the whistle? Better now?

^^^ lmao, Since Burns is less than relevant right now, I must bask in others glory. This will be a tremendous showdown no doubt. I give the edge to Cleveland County High School over Thug High because of the experience in the rivalry at key positions. I look for Burns stars WGIII and Ramsuer to be difference makers as well as Crest product Bowling ball Harbison to carry the load. The WRs for Shelby will be key, if they can get some big time YAC yards, then they can win this one. It also depends who has the least amount of personal fouls and who isnt on the Most Wanted page in the Shelby Star that week....

although it is not my high school in the mix (Currently), I am glad we have a county that has such good sports to see...

Okay, whatever makes you feel good. But the evidence suggests that you're just a bitter little man. None of your 13 players has anything to do with this game, yet here you are. The players that moved on made the correct choice. They wanted to win and knew that they'd never do it there. They've been at Crest for two years, yet here you are. Good luck against Draughn. That will be a barn burner. Come say hello when it's our time to destroy you. Then in week ten come on down and watch real football teams play in a meaningful game or you can go watch Newton Conover play and ponder on how you dopes flushed it all down the toilet.

I cant even pose an argument at this point. Things are challenging in Lawndale and can only go up from here. Maybe we can beat Draughn but I know they are much better this year..

You should beat them and, I hope you do beat them. It is my hope that those young men up in Lawndale get to the playoff's . They're a tough bunch of kids. I have also been praying for your son to get well. I did not know that was your son until recently. He is tough, and a very good player, it is my prayer that he can get back to being a teenager and enjoying the things he loves.

Thanks rulz. I appreciate that my friend . Not looking good for this year . He is still not cleared and best case right now he is cleared the day before the crest game . 3 weeks of no practice coming off a pretty significant concussion to face your defense and the best backers in the state would probably not be in his best interest. ...but don't get me wrong he would be all for it . Lol....Concussion doc recommends sitting the rest of the year and that is probably what's going to happen . The kids heart is broken but he has another year to get healthy. My heart breaks for a kid like Zack Leslie who is one of the county's best players and got hurt in the first quarter of the second game of the year and this is his senior year As I tell my boy sometimes life is not fair and it can just flat out suck but that's when we man up and attack it head on.....but the kind words mean a lot and maybe next year we will be good enough to get back to our usual smack talk . Until then Unless something really weird happens I see yall running the table . .
