Well I know @vkj91 certainly didn't and I didn't have a problem with him and thought he was a solid choice but not the top of my list because of his not great defenses at Bowling Green.
Lots of people doing the 20/20 hindsight now, although it's just one win albeit a extremely good one, when I don't remember too many going crazy over him then outside on one poster.
experience as a head coach is always a good thing....I think PIVOTAL for a school like Rutgers that has to fight tooth and nail. Learning on the job never works at this school...we saw it with Flood, we saw it with Hill...when you are in a top conference with sharks I think you need someone who has been there even at a lower level.
