There must be a decent number of head coaches who make less than $4 million a year, whose salary pool for assistants is less than what was offered Schiano, and whose facilities are not BIG calibre. How does the guy win at Cincinnati? or Boise State? This myth that New Jersey high school coaches need to bond with the Rutgers coach just hasn't been borne out by the facts. They bonded with Schiano and how great were his recruiting classes?

That's not what I am referring to. SetonHallTroll said the Big Ten was not pleased, and then suggested that the Big Ten would kick out Rutgers.

We should kick ourselves out. Realize we don’t have the chops to compete with the varsity . Time to go jay v and focus on academics, which should be the primary focus anyway

Not yet but the next hire should determine. You're either in or you're out with these level of programs. If joining the B1G was just about getting money to close the funding gap and embarras yourself, then I'd rather eliminate the gap thru cost cutting and see if we can beat Lehigh again.

Oh yeah, I work for the Big Ten you moron

You think they are happy with 10k attendance and not trying to compete?

It's common sense, you lack it.

Why can't you comprehend?

Get a clue
I'm tempted to escalate this by suggesting that the work you do for the Big Ten is cleaning the urinals. But I'm not sure there's a benefit to that escalation.

Instead, I'll take you at your word that you work for the Big Ten in a capacity that would let you know what the league leadership is thinking.

In that case, why do they care if Rutgers hires Schiano or hires someone else. And if they do care to the point of wanting to kick Rutgers out of the league, what is the mechanism to do so. Do the Big Ten bylaws even allow the league to kick out a member, and under what criteria? What happens to all the money Rutgers paid as part of the buy-in to the Big Ten Network?
