Was listening to Jocks in the Birmingham area.

Professed his hate for Kentucky basketball and said "Cal was cheating his *** off" they just haven't figured out how yet.

Went on to say if he could have anything in the month of March it would have been "Kentucky losing to Fla in the first round of the SEC tourney just to stand outside and watch all the Kentucky fans leave the arena" said he would pay thousands to have seen it.

Said we were the worst fans out there....

Wow. I always thought we were pretty good people. Guess not.

The butt hurt and envy reaches to incredible proportions this time of year. All the clueless idiots like Clay Travis, Pat Forde, Jeff Goodman, and Pete Thamel, along with the imbeciles that cheer for teams like UofL and their ilk, just can't stand it when we are the best in the nation.

It's going to be so enjoyable to watch all these mouth breathing, knuckle draggers squirm when we are cutting down the nets on April 6th.

JOX has Clay Travis on every week here in Birmingham. This guy takes every opportunity to express his hate for Cal and UK. I turn off show every time they bring him on. The guys hosting the show are all hoping Cream gets the Alabama job. It amazes me their ignorance.

Just haven't figured it out yet huh. Could that be, just maybe, because he's not? After 6 years, and having a lot of player's who have gone through UK under Cal you'd think some people might finally start to get the hint. With every player that leaves the potential something comes out grows exponentially, yet nothing has. I don't think it will because I believe there's nothing there. Cal gets these guys on two basic premises. He and his staff will help them become better player's quickly, something he's proven he can do, and that he will do all he can to help them get to the next level if it's their goal. He promises them nothing else but those two things. This season Cal is bending over backwards to do everything he can to help Aaron and Andrew, and they have become better player's than they were last year. The pouting and the body language are gone. He gives them all equal opportunity though, but if they don't meet his expectations in practice or a game he sits them. Including Karl who some are now saying might the #1 pick. This whole notion that Cal and UK are cheating is one based on nothing but hate. And yes it makes me angry though I pretty much ignore it.

Nope, wasn't me. I live so far away I've actually never been to an SEC tournament. They didn't start playing them again until my senior year at UK. I've lived out west ever since. I've seen them in the NCAA when UK has come out west, but that's rare, and unfair to the huge majority of UK fans. I could be wrong, but think '85 might be the last time UK came out here. I was at their games in SLC that, and the one in Denver of course.

My sister went last week though, and had a wonderful time. Sat in the LSU section (her sister in-law lives in Louisiana), but said it was almost all UK fans.

Serious question, who in the hell is Clay Travis? His 2 first names sounds like some new age country music singer. He can join the long line of people crapping in one hand and wishing for UK failure in the other.

He is a sports journalist, and that is using the term loosely. He has a total hard on for UK, UK fans, Cal, and the list goes on. He really does take every chance to spew his crap whenever he gets the chance.

I don't even try to debate the haters anymore, I just agree with them. "Yes Cal is a cheater, most of the good coaches are, Cal is just better at it than the others." Really nothing more for them to say after that comeback.

He loves to hate achievement, tradition and dominance. He also hates Alabama football and their "awful" fans (because of their success). Couldn't stand him on the air in Nashville.

Know he disrespected Boogie. During Jimmy Kimmel mean tweets someone tweeted Boogie is an "emotional lesbian" - thinking that better describes Clay Travis.

Lastly, since Clay loves to hate achievement and dominance, PLEASE talk some crap about Ronda Rousey Clay... I'd pay to watch that play out. Her fans are annoying and she is "over confident".... take her on big man! LOL I can dream about that like Clay dreams about being a reasonable, well spoken and respected sports "journalist".

I used to listen to him occasionally when he was on that 3HL show that airs on The Zone out of Nashville. Believe it or not, he and the other two guys were really not that bad. Yes, he makes it clear that he is anti-UK but I wonder if that is truly how he feels or if it is just shtick.

He's a UT homer that has turned trolling SEC fans (mainly UK and Bama) into a pretty lucrative career. He's the sole reason I quit listening to Nashville sports radio. I mean they talk about hockey, Vandy basketball, and Titans football and that wasn't enough to turn me off, but ol' Clay sure did the trick.

Travis also donated $5,000 to Boogie's favorite charity.
Full story is that Drew Franklin with KSR kept and retweeted the tweet that Travis had made 5 yrs ago. Boogie then retweeted Franklin's tweet. Travis responded with "@boogiecousins Funny and well played. $5k to your charity of choice. Let me know where to send it."

Poking at thin skinned fan bases is Travis' shtick. He does the same with Alabama football fans, Arkansas and West Virginia...even his own Tennessee fans. Travis is a fan of reaction more than anything.

Travis may not be your flavor, but he isn't dumb. The guy is the UT version of Matt Jones, and he has turned making fun of UK and Bama fans into millions and millions of dollars for his family.

I actually think he is hilarious. I'm a huge UK fan and alumnus, but I can admit that our fanbase has its share of rednecks and crazies. So does Bama. Part of it is demographics, part of it is the sheer size of the followings, and part of it is that the passion necessitates some crazy that comes out in the wash.

Don't take it so personally. When we have fans that call him every curse word in the book on twitter, all that does is prove his original point.
