Man, granted USC hasn't seemed relevant in a while, but he went 5-1 last year, with his only lost coming against Oregon in the Pac-12 "championship".

The year before, he went 7-2 in the Pac 12 and 8-5 overall after a loss to Iowa in the Holiday Bowl.

His only really bad year was 2018, when he went 5-7. The two years before that he won 10 and 11 games, winning a conference title once.

That's certainly not stellar for USC, but that seems more than respectable, and not "fire after starting 1-1" bad.

So dumb. Just fire his *** at the end of last season if you’re gonna do it after the very 17ing first loss the next year anyway. Nobody loves an early season firing like USC….pretty sure every coach they have had since Carroll left has not made it to October of their final season.
