Football Classification remodel

So I slowly worked on this project over the summer to try and rationalize and make sense of what our classes could look like with a different enrollment count.

Attached you’ll see Classes broken out by colors and new districts.
Class A: 550 boys and above
Class B: 549-200
Class C1: 199-80
Class C2: 79-50 (9 man)
Class D1: 49-30 (8 man)
Class D2: 30 and below (6 man)

I’m considering no future co-ops, no future consolidation and this is based on amount of boys per school and geography.

I’d like to get rid of 8 man and just have one class of 9 man and one class of 6 man, but Nebraska isn’t there yet because we have too many schools with low enrollments.

Any ideas and brainstorming are great things! I would LOVE to see something like this come to fruition but my money is on nothing changing very soon. My thought is this; in a perfect world we get as many coaches and their staffs together in the middle of the state for a sort of summit meeting with the NSAA. Take 2-3 days and hash the whole thing out. Not saying a solution would happen at that meeting but to gather everyone that wanted to be there all at once might make progress happen sooner rather than later. I would pay to attend an event like that and we know how much the NSAA loves $$$!!!

That's kind of how Nebraska finally got football playoffs. The coaches met in Kearney (during teacher's convention, I believe) and looked at possibilities and found a plan they could get behind. It was authored by a young math teacher from the southeast part of the state. Name and town escaped me right now. They put him on a committee with some big boys (Milt Tenopir then from McCook was one) to take the idea to the NSAA. That was 72 or 73 and the playoffs were a go by 75.
