Which one of these programs that have gone through some struggles recently, or have not delivered due to baffling coaching hires gets back to yearly contention. In the very least which one is closest to the hilltop right now?

Texas moving to the SEC means they may never win a conference championship ever again. And I am thrilled about that.

I went with USC. They have the easiest road.
That was my pick as well. Their only real competition is Oregon imo. Who is the elite coach in that conference? Christobel, Helton, Whittingham, Kelly?

Miami has never won an ACC title. Texas might win the Big 12 before they exit, but the SEC West will be extremely difficult. Tennessee is in the same boat as Nebraska imo. Did you see who they hired ? Michigan has to actually beat Ohio State to get there. Nebraska has the talent edge over most of their division rivals, but they aren't coached up at all.

I overlooked USC and picked FSU. A lot more people care about getting FSU going internally is my feeling. Though USC has the easier road externally.
