We all know that year in and year out, Class C-1 has been one of the more difficult classes to figure out. It looks that way once again. Defending champion Wahoo is back and so is defending runner-up Grand Island Central Catholic and third-place finisher Lincoln Lutheran. Bishop Neumann, St. Paul and Syracuse have had nice seasons as well and we can't count out Columbus Scotus, who knows how to win at the state tournament as they have 15 state championships.
There are so many great players and athletes to watch in this class like Wahoo's Kyla Swanson, Elle Glock and the Larsen sisters, as well as Lincoln Lutheran's Marriah Buss and Hope Leimbach, Neumann's Kelsie Cada, GICC's Katie Maser and Megan Woods, St. Paul's Hayley Fox and so many more.
I'm a Central Nebraska guy and I would love to see a GICC-St. Paul final, but I think Wahoo will have too much in the end in coming away with its second-straight title.
