Let's be honest. There is no special section. I'm not even sure if this is just complete incompetence or anti-MSU bias at this point. Even the Hedermans would have had a special section if they were still running the paper.

I'm old enough to remember when the CL was actually very good, with Hampton and both Clevelands, Mike Knobler and several more -- After a big football win on Saturday, I'd go get a Sunday paper and enjoy the game all over again. After an Egg Bowl win, the Sunday CL was extra special.

The internet hasn't done print journalism any favors, but the demise of Gannett and the CL is a lot more about miserable management than anything else. I never thought I'd see the day when there's not even enough coverage of either school in the CL to argue whether they have a Rebel bias. It's become a joke that long ago ceased to be funny.

Same here. Was young enough that it was never part of my daily routine, but used to do it on the weekends and enjoyed it. Just not much paper worth having anymore. Same with a magazine and a book. I think part of it is that if you are reading a print newspaper or magazine, in theory, you should get less drivel if they made the decision to include it in a lmited print, whereas when you're browsing the internet, it's basically costless to put up crap once it's written.

I don't pay for the Ledger but my dad has a subscription and I got a section that is all State. The front page says 'Living Legends' and its all CWS champions coverage. Seems special to me

Bought my last Clarion Ledger back in the mid 1980’s. They were pulling the same biased crap back then and I swore that they would never get another penny from me. So I have not purchased one of their papers in approximately 35 years. Don’t click on their links either. The world will be a better place the day that they go out of business.

The internet gave us too many jobs for terrible writers. You used to have to earn your spot to be published and get a column.

The same goes for TV, Cable, and Web TV journalists which in my opinion is why we are in the shape we are today with opinion TV versus actual news channels and publications.
