Has three articles. One talks about Nkemdiche (no 1 high school player in country) having Ole Miss at the top of his list. The second talks about how MSU commit Jones is wavering now that people know how good he is. The third talks about Daniel. He does state MSU is on his list; however, goes on to say how cool it would be to play with Nkemdiche (assuming at Ole Miss).

I was unaware that Jones was wavering. Is it just me or is this more Bear propaganda before signing day. Seems all MSU recruiting articles always have a negative twist.

If our alumni would get off their tails & MAKE SOMETHING HAPPEN then we'd probably see more positive recruiting articles. It's always like this. We peak in recruiting around October and then it's just holding on for dear life until February. Somebody needs to reset our recruiting calendars for 3 months later than they are currently set.

Talty is reporting completely inaccurate info when it comes to Jones. This kid is quickly working himself out of a career in journalism. The media coverage in the State has failed and is completely one sided. I am beginning to think the Clarion Ledger has something to gain by creating a negative aura about MSU. If people want to fix our recruiting problems, fixing the media in the state is a big part of the solution. Does media determine where kids go to school? Of course not, but they do play a big hand in how that school is perceived by on the fence, outside of the loop people. The fair shake that MSU is getting from the Mississippi is terrible, unfair, and most of all unwarranted.

I can't remember where, but I saw Talty decked out in Mississippi gear not to...

long ago.....reaffirmed why I don't read his articles.....and I subscribe to the CL 7 days a week for 20+ years....

Perhaps there is such a slant because we don't have any good recruiting news to talk about, and they do. You see what you want see, as always.

Chris Jones has not been reported to be wavering by anyone. This guy read way too far into this. I see what I see. Only an idiot can't see what Talty is up to. It's been that way since he was hired. Guy has no Ole Miss ties at all, does he? Except maybe his boss.

THIS. Give the man something to write about and THEN we'll see if he has a slant. Right now he's got no option but to talk better about their recruiting.

Did Talty write about Chris Jones' meteoric rise in the recruiting rankings this fall any? He want from a 2 star prospect to a top 20 prospect at 247. There's a story. Was it written?

Do they now have all the validity of a Coach34 lock of the week? That's a shame.

For the record, I don't think Jones is going anywhere but State. I don't even think The Clarion Ledger is a good newspaper. But the persecution complex regarding Talty is as pathetic as Ole Miss fans' conspiracy theories about Rusty Hampton.

Of course, I realize that it's easy for programs to imagine enemies when their collective last four decades have been like ours.

Standing by for an article regarding the the huge rarity (and thus newsworthy) that MSU 1) had a 5* commit, and 2) identified the player before anybody else did.
