I don't think TyTy will start initially. I feel a lot of people here are underestimating the adjustment he'll have to make to play at this level. He may start after he's proven himself with quality minutes - I just don't think he starts right off the bat. Of course a lot will argue that Cal will start him just because he's a 5-star.

I also think that people here see his highlight videos and assume he's this amazing 3-pt threat. I found some game stats, and against tougher competition he didn't shoot so great - went 1/8 and 1/6 from 3 in losses to Monteverde Academy, and 2/7 in a win over Wasatch (with Nolan Hickman). He had some good 3-pt shooting games too, but probably not against the greatest defenses. I wish stats were kept as diligently at the HS level as they are in college, but unfortunately we have no idea of his season stats for FG%, 3FG%, RPG, APG, etc., at least not that I can find online.

Of course I might be wrong. And I'm not saying he won't be a great player, I just think some people's expectations might be a little unrealistic.

Grady is a 2000 point scorer. He is not coming off of anybody's bench. Wheeler was 2nd team all SEC so he is not coming off the bench. The battle will be Ty Ty and CJ but I feel Ty Ty will be the starting 2 guard. CJ to me will be like Darius Miller coming off the bench who will still get a lot of minutes.

I think it shakes out that it's Wheeler, Grady, and TyTy but I really wish it would be CJ instead and have Wheeler come off the bench. But there's an argument to made for having two shooters coming off the bench and having the penetrator start.

I think we'll see all these guys run similar minutes with Allen getting a few less than these four. You don't have to start to get lots of minutes.

Since Washington is a five star according to a few people he automatically starts? If he is one of the three best guards he should be starting but not because he is a tagged five star. Three hardened veterans that have produced big time on this level and a guy that hasn't played a minute on this level, just find it hard to believe that Ty Ty will be ahead of those three guys.

Pretty confident starting lineup will be:

Wheeler
Washington
Grady
Brooks
Tshiebwe

If anyone in that lineup gets replaced by Fredrick it’s Washington, not Grady.

That would be my guess as of now. Jackson coming back would of course change it.

Besides Oscar, Grady is the most assured player to start next season.

Viewing down the message board 3 + 24 is good support for Oscar and Grady. After last year I just want a good,smart and hard playing team with better coaching.
