Awesome news from a shooting standpoint. If we were to get someone like Wheeler we'll need all the shooting we can possibly get(not that dont already)

Wait till TY TY and Alvardo commit. Ive been saying it for weeks. The Cal bashers are gonna look really stupid. I mean they already do. Cal got 2 new great assistants who recruit like beasts. Now he is getting our roster set to be very competitive next year and a much improved shooting team. He has addressed every complaint the bashers have thrown out. Well except the screaming. Ive never understood that anyway, never seen a coach who doesn't scream lol

Last year deserved every bit of the criticism it got. Pretending it didn't happen doesn't make it go away.
Cal had to make changes. Glad he is.
TyTy commits really soon. They’ll have to wait it out with guys like Carr, Mintz and Alvarado. July 7th is the deadline and I’m sure they’ll do anything they can to get a guarantee from an NBA team.

Stu then you haven’t watched many games other than UK. Lol I hope he does change that. It’s very distracting to the players and I would think he would be embarrassed to be carrying on like a maniac the whole game. Well at least we got this good news for today. Hopefully more to come soon.
I see him as a backup to Grady at the 2. Still need someone to start at the 3, or at least push Allen for that role.
And I thought I wore blue-tinted glasses. But I don't see us having any of those. Maybe, hopefully we'll have some top 20 guys at their positions. I do think (not yet) we will have a very good bench, maybe nearly as good as our starters (so maybe should do platoon again).
Fredrick is a much needed addition. If everybody stays healthy, and you accept Toppin as a 4th option at SF (behind Allen, Grady and Fredrick), I think UK can probably get by now at the 2G & SF positions. I think those spots collectively are still thin from a depth perspective, and I would still like to see another expected multi-year 2G (freshman or sophomore) with the size (6'5"+) and ability to play SF added for roster continuity building - but in my mind Fredrick signing fills a big need.
So, now I think if UK can add 1 higher level transfer starting PG, then they've got a viable roster (with Grady, and even Fredrick a little bit, backing up the PG spot). Again, the PG spot would still really need another player, but at least UK has something to work with at that point. So, add a freshman PG for the future (damn it Hickman) to backup the starting transfer PG, and I think UK could be a difficult out next season.

If I understand the process correctly, it would be due to the voters individually casting votes that once tabulated would place them that "low."
I'm giving Cal the benefit of the doubt. I wanted him to make changes to his staff, and he delivered in a big way. I think we will see a massive course-correction next season. But pre-season I expect us to be (and hope that we are) ranked 15-20. I want a team that comes in hungry, disrespected, and with something to prove. I don't want a brand new team distracted by their own press clippings.

Depending on the finished roster, I think Allen could put in some min at the 3.

I'm not listening to the hype anymore. Glad a player joined in the redemption but after I drank so much blue Kool-aid last year and said that was his 3rd best roster, I just wanna watch and be a good fan. I do understand the transfers have good numbers but its not against a UK schedule. So can't wait til BIG BLUE MADNESS, but I'm not sure what to expect.

Allen never got to play much last year. What would lead you to believe he will get to play anymore this year ? Fredrick is an excellent shooter, but he is not a good defensive player, so if Calipari has not changed his way of thinking, why would Fredrick get to play much either ? Calipari's reasoning for not playing non athletics is they can't guard anyone. Neither one of these players are athletic thus not good defenders, so why would they play much ? Just asking. What are your thoughts ?
Solid get as long as we add the PGs we need. This gives us 8 so we still need 3 more at least. 2 of those need to be PGs. One of my favs is Wright who is testing the waters like Carr and you know a decent amount of these good PGs will have to withdraw from the draft because they ain't getting drafted.
