When you say “will always be true representatives of RU” that really resonates as a real team member of something special. I always highly respected those individuals and athletes that stuck with there team win or loose, and at RU, there were many. I think many an athlete regrets “bailing out” because they will certainly loose that “will always be true representatives”...
Pretty sad actually.

I'm curious if he makes return trips to Wilmington like he does to Piscataway.

Is Mike playing professionally anywhere? And I assume CJ is staying in England. How much money do you guys make playing in the lower level European leagues? Still a great gig and something to be proud of regardless of money!

Gettys stayed through a coaching change at UNC-W. He redshirted one and then played one year under Buzz Peterson then played two under Kevin Keatts.

They made the tournament his junior year and actually led Duke at halftime. He wasn't a super great fit in Keatts' more up-tempo scheme but I believe his transfer happened because he wanted to get more visibility. He announced his transfer in April but didn't commit here until August. My guess is he was trying to get a pro contract that summer and when it didn't happen he came here.
