I respect cockiness when it can be backed up. Cignetti has definitely done that.

Unlike Scott Frost who came in cocky and got the living piss beat out of him by nearly everyone.
His cockiness reminds me of back in the day when Billy Tubbs coached basketball at Oklahoma. One quote of his when asked a question about leafing a starter in who had scored 30 points in a blowout game. Why was he still in the game. “Because I wanted to see if he could score 40“.

That is a pretty cold line though! Ha

To be fair. It’s pretty easy to avoid **** talking the fans when you’ve done as well as he has. 99.999% of the fan base loves him right now. Based on how much of a prick the guy seems to be… if things start going poorly (someday) I fully expect him to go full Bo on those fans and admin. But he will probably get hired away before than.
And he is 65 yrs old. Been good for a while and has a chip on his shoulder that he hadn't gotten the job opportunities before. I can see it but it wouldn't sell well here or anywhere if he hit a bad streak with that personality.

If I was him Id take the shot though!!
