Since college football outside of late recruiting is done for another few months, I'm interest in hearing the board's views on Wisconsin renewing Paul Chryst for another few years. Do you think last year was uncharacteristic, and he'll bring them back? Will they maintain their current level, falter or get better? What say you?

Good move on their part in my opinion. He has a history with the program and is a cultural fit for them. He may not be the most dynamic personality but he is good football coach. I doubt they could do much better in the long run.

Seems like a good coach. Wisc has their formula and it's worked for a long time. Everyone bogeys now and then.

Given that Anderson was pretty much a disaster as a fit (wanting to recruit jaycees and the like) and as a strategizer (Passing on 1st and goal with Melvin Gordon in the backfield), I think Chryst is a good coach for them. They were a big bust this year, and yet they rallied to destroy a decent Miami team in the Pinstripe Bowl.

I'd give him the extension just for saying "F*** the turnover chain"!!

Let us hope we can make him bogey a few more times and make them wonder about the extension

Wisconsin has a problem at QB right now. I think their fortunes ride on Coan, who wasn't terrible in his starts, and Mertz, the heralded freshman.

All Hornibrook does is win games. If he is healthy, he is their guy unless Mertz is a stud.

Hornibrook is a decent enough game manager.

Wisky was hit bad by the injury bug this season.

Watch out if Chryst ever gets an upper-tier QB (Mertz?).

I’m only on this because I figured you were using the y instead of the i to stay out of the rivals filters.

So what was this thread about again?
