Lets hear the best gifts you got this year. And don’t be all sentimental and say your family or whatever. Give me the materialistic part of you. What is the best thing you got this year???

New work boot strings from my 5 year old daughter. I know that sounds lame as hell, but there is nothing more annoying than broke boot strings, lol. She overheard I needed new ones and made sure I got them. I don't get gifts, and am ok with that. My bonus and extra money is better spent on family during the holidays.
Oh, and I got my European mount from this years deer back from my taxidermist.

A six-pack of Peanut Butter Porter from Empyrean Brewing Company and a 6 pack of Devil's Gap Jalapeno Ale from Kinkaider Brewing (along with some homemade tomato juice to go with it from a co-worker)

iPad (got it on the day after Thanksgiving sale, but couldnt play it in front of the kiddos since it was going to be from Santa)

Meat, cheese, & crackers... I love those. Had some for snack this afternoon.

Stll haven't gone up to the in-laws yet, so the best gifts have yet to be received!

Strings - got some from my daughter last year. Much needed. I hate boot strings. They wear thin and break too damn quick.

Mount - that is pretty damn quick isn't it? Faster and easier because it was European obviously, but I am a little surprised that a taxidermist would actually have it returned so quickly.

The ones around here seem to be working on the previous year's mounts still when deer season comes around...

Helps when your lifelong hunting buddy is a really good taxidermist. He was a little pissed at me last year when I had my Elk European mounted. But I like the look. Plus I am running out of wall space.
I want to get a moose or Caribou next.

I gifted myself yet another guitar - a Kramer V, before the Kramer brand disappears again because Gibson is poorly run. "Hey thanks, Me!" When it arrives I will party like it's 1982. I will pretend those gift cards from relatives paid for it, in order to cover up my financial irresponsibility.

Mom did send a couple large bags of authentic Minnesnowta wild rice again. which I always look forward to.

I got a sweet apple picker from my wife so I no longer have to put life and limb in danger when I pick apples off our tree (which the kids and I love to do).

My mom also got me a couple fold up fire escape ladders that I wanted. We moved into a new house this year and the second level windows don’t have much or any roof to climb out on in a fire situation. So I really wanted them. This is when you know you’re getting old.

Also, my kids got a bunch of ‘little people’ so they haven’t left the table all day. Those things are the best.

Revtech 6-speed heavy duty transmission for my Harley. The stock 5-speed didn't have a high enough tall gear for California freeway speeds so the motor shook and ran hot much above 70, which caused excessive wear on the motor and stuff to always come loose.

Zero point zero. No gifts. Not a single one. But the mother in law put $$$ into the kids' college funds, which is all I really wanted.

Guess I will have to buy my own socks.

No specific gifts for me, the adults in my family do a White Elephant/Yankee Swap/etc.-type dice game. Each person spends about $50-$75.

Have niece and nephew infant twins, I set up a bunch of email accounts for them so that when they get to an age where they need them, their names aren't taken. Took a few days as Gmail only permits so many accounts to be activated with a given number and Yahoo only permits a finite quantity per phone number to be activated per day.

Giant ice sphere mold and some new drinking glasses for scotch/bourbon.

Some St. Louis Cardinals wall art from the Cards/Cubs opening day with facsimile signatures of the entire roster on it.

Also a new mechanical gaming keyboard, mouse and headset for the nerdier side of my life.

My in-laws got my wife, two children, them, and I a trip to Naples, FL (got here on Christmas) for a week vacation. Couple rounds of golf, catamaran tour to Marco Island, and another boat tour of some of the Everglades. Definitely a different way of spending Christmas, but definitely not complaining.

A box of after 8 o'clock nestle mint candies, and a welcome home coach Frost T shirt. My daughter got me a Christmas tree ornament with a ribbon as tall as she in a clear plastic bulb, and she painted a perfect pinecone for another ornament.

She's such a sweetie!

Vacuum. Not a hoover, not a Dyson, not even a shark. But an old school push style vacuum that every late night diner chain uses and you never appreciate until you have one. It should've been a gift for my wife, as I have now vacuumed approximately 9x more in the last 24 hours as I had our entire relationship until 12/25/2017.

Got a new work bench from my in-laws, going to set it up as my gun cleaning/gunsmithing bench, as my current work bench has been working double duty. Also got some Amazon gift cards, which I used to buy a new scope for my AR.

Got quite a few tools as well, and some bourbon along with some ice sphere molds for said bourbon.
