I have never been a fan of CWebb, but I lost even more respect for him after tonights calling of the game. I do not think they should let Pro's call college games.

Even if he was impartial he still sucks at announcing. CBS/TBS needs to upgrade their announcers. ESPN owns CBS in that department.

Would have been awesome if one his fellow announcers would have asked Chris if Notre Dame should call a time out on that last play.

MANY of his comments throughout were PROOF POSITIVE that he hadn't watched nearly enough college ball to know EVEN A LITTLE about the teams he's commenting on. Not to mention his flat out rooting FOR UK to lose!!!

Did he really say UK is undefeated when they hold opponents to fewer than 55 points? Hello, Mr. Webber, UK is undefeated no matter how many points their opponent has scored this season. Someone please call a timeout on this guy.

That was the most lopsided announcing I ever heard. The main guy (color commentator or whatever) did fine. Impartial. But Elmore and Webber were HATTIN on the Cats, especially Willie. They kept saying he had zero skills. Elmore had to change his pants after each ND bucket but when we took the lead he and Webber were silent. Webber is aweful

It's pretty mind boggling that allow him. Kinda of an odd coice to do games. It's almost as if he has dirt on the ncaa.

Anyone else notice on KSR postgame show that Matt talked about Elmore but left Webber out of the conversation.

I agree the Webber was horrible. I'm not sure what you mean by saying professional player shouldn't call college games. If you are not good enough to be a professional, you don't usually get the chance to be on tv.

Come on guys he's not that bad, I think they have him on to keep track of the timeouts. He's good about knowing how many each team has left.

Agree totallly... the A team, Nance,Raftery, Hill and the team of Reggie Miller, Dan Bonner and Kevin Harlan both do a good job ... but the others are very lame...

I'll take the trade off of being able to watch ALL games even if there are NBA guys calling them.

That being said, C-Webb isn't good at analyzing, either games or in the studio, NBA games either.

Webber has little intelligence and made his bread off of physicality, not talent in life. He's a dumb ***, to put it short. Real analyst have got to be shaking their head.

NBA announcers shouldn't be calling college games. The play by play guy didn't bother me, but Webber was horrendous. I don't think Miller is that bad. I don't know what Webber has against us because his team beat ours in that tourney. Frankly, every national announcer should be unbiased. Period.

Seriously, WTF are you talking about? If you're referring to his basketball skills, then I have no words. I hope this is only referring to how bad he is of an announcer.

The NBA guys are fantastic covering NBA games. You can tell that's the style of play they know, and that they're intimately familiar with how the game really works, the players, the coaches, the franchises, and how the league really "works." They've lived it for decades.

That doesn't translate to college games, and because they're SO in tune with how the NBA works, they've never developed the preparation, research, etc. abilities that professional announcers use.

I couldn't imaging watching and listening to a game on TV. Tom Leach has it 15 seconds before TV does. I love it when I can say, 'watch this....'..

Imagine if Marv Albert would have been there again... He was terrible in a 40 point blow out, he would have gone crazy tonight...... Webber and Elmore are just terrible.... I'm glad we had a new play by play man tonight...

According to Cal, Notre Dame was out of timeouts and Cal said he wasn't going to call a timeout so Notre Dame could set up a play.

WTF do you think I'm talking about. He's an idiot. Even on the court he's an idiot. The way he acted off the court court was idiotic. He was a good basketball player, great. He's born a monster. But as far as his worth at ANYTHING other than playing basketball, like being an analyst, he's a bum.

That help?

Webber is a star known for choking in big games. This actually made him the perfect guy to call the last five minutes of this game as Kentucky turned it up a notch and ND frittered away it's opportunity to pull off an historic upset.

He actually had some pretty good insight down the stretch.

CBS is full of low IQ Kentucky Haters, half over the hill commentators that sound like drunk gamblers, the others former washed up players that regret they never amounted to a hill of beans.

They make the dumbest comments about Kentucky's players that are totally untrue, and have no problem in showing complete bias for whomever UK is playing. Len Elmore had at least 4 orgasms during the game over a Notre Dame made basket,Webber mentioned that UK couldn't guard NBA players like Notre Dame has
