Yes, that is hypocritical to say that college bb is being demeaned by the OADers when he left after his sophomore year. Duke, Michigan, Kansas, UNC, et. al. have also produced one and doners. Is he really against student athletes leaving early to actualize their dream? If so, he needs to return the money he made doing so. Another case of "It's okay for me, but not for anyone else because I am elite." Giving any of these guys a microphone doesn't guarantee credibility....

I know a lot of people have point this out but didn't he leave after his sophomore year? is he saying this because out freshman reached the final 4 year just like his fab 5, then we are poised to do it again this year just like his squad thus making them a foot note

Meh just the way it goes. Everyone thinks their generation is the best, and sports players always love to put on the rose colored glasses when talking about the past. Who knows maybe in 20 years WCS will be asked about some hot college team and give the same type of answer. Everything was always better/tougher back in my day.

Why this bothers anyone is funny to me. Its just like when we talk about music. My parents thought my generation's music sucked and their's was much better. I now think the current music sucks and mine was the best. Every generation wants to lay claim that their era was better than the other.

Its the same way in sports. Younger kids today thinks Lebron is the greatest ever. My generation thinks Jordan is. Older generations argue Chamberlain, etc were. I think there are several 90's team that could beat this team on a given day, but you can argue those teams never had to play a team with KY's size, depth, and athleticism.

Listen, webber played in an Era when players like hurley and wojo were high school and collegiate all Americas. That tells me all I need to know about the level of competition between the two time periods. Could those guys even get the ball over half court against us?

everybody wants to talk about how awesome the previous eras were. Same thing when they try to discount LeBron. The biggest goon of the late 80s and early 90s was bill laimbeer and the bad boy pistons. Google pictures of him and then try not to laugh thinking about how much punishment a throw down from lebron, Blake griffin or even WCS would dish out to him.
