It’s unreal how much he lies on a daily basis. After he looses this race his reputation will be ruined.

He already ruined it with what his people tried to do to Thad Cochran's wife. There is dirty politics and then there is DIRTY politics.

Almost without exception, anyone who chooses to run for any elected office, regardless of political party, is a ****** person. McDaniel just happens to be extra special in the ****** department.

Four years ago, my wife and I were blessed with our second little girl.

She's truly a joy, but the week she was born, all that was on the television at the hospital was STUPID CHRIS MCDANIEL AND THAD COCHRAN ADS. Then I'd be home with the other daughter and she'd try to watch something on Youtube and HEY THERE A DAMN CHRIS MCDANIEL AD BEFORE WE WATCH THIS TOY VIDEO.

I voted for the 3rd guy and I've never been so happy to see someone not hit 50% + 1 vote. And then the way that douchenozzle acted after losing to Cochran in the runoff, like there's something morally wrong about Democrats in Hinds County voting in a republican primary, when for 20+ years Republicans in Hinds County had to vote in Democrat primaries to vote for Sheriff. THERE IS NO PARTY REGISTRATION IN MISSISSIPPI YOU STUPID 17.

Chris McDaniel can kiss my lily white ***.

I've never spoken to or am a fan of Chris McDaniel. That said, we have a lot of mutual friends (me being born in Jones County and a bit older than him has something to do with that).

I love the irony of Thad Cochran first being elected to the US Senate thanks to African-American voters splitting from the Democratic party to vote for Charles Evers in 1978 and then coming back to vote for the Senator in the GOP runoff in 2014.

As well as the publicity of Facebook posts.

My middle brother got in a Facebook argument with McDaniel himself that went on and on until my brother finally said "Dude, you're a state senator, what are you doing arguing with me, some random guy you don't know, on Facebook?"

Will vote R whoever it is, but I'm not a fan of CM. Lucky for us, he won't win the primary anyway.

He's in the special election which is "nonpartisan" and there will likely be a runoff between the GOP candidate with the most votes and Mike Espy.

That will be an open election with no primary. Choices will be Cindy Hyde-Smith (R), Chris McDaniel (R), and Mike Espy (D). That's an extremely weak field for a senatorial election. I could see Gov. Bryant's pick finishing 3rd and a McDaniel-Espy runoff with the winner going to the Senate. If that's the case, I would probably vote for Espy, and I suspect a lot of Republicans would. Bryant too a HUGE risk with this appointment and pissed a LOT of people off.

Phil (not a MENSA member) Bryant isn't in charge, he is run by the Rankin County Mafia..

My problem with CM, is that he argues with EVERYONE. I mean, he seems to talk **** about everyone. And does anyone in politics like him? In this day and age, you may have differing views but you’re going to have to work with people to get things done. I just don’t see him being able to do that. If you’re going to be in politics at that level, you can’t afford to piss off everyone including the people in your own party. You just can’t.

Anybody else think he’s a fraud and a pathological liar?

I won't comment on his character, but regarding his political issues he runs on. He says he won't lobby for, negotiate a vote for, or accept one penny of Federal appropriated spending for local projects (bringing money back home to his state). Commonly known as pork barrel spending. I think this really puts Mississippi behind the 8 ball. Being an already dirt poor state. Thad was really good at getting money for Mississippi projects, that would have otherwise gone unfunded. Of course, he should have been good at it, being as he was the Chairman of the Senate Appropriations committee.

Wicker and Smith will never get a vote from me but I’d rather have a real McCoy than a tea party goofball like McD.

Im still crawling over broken glass to pull the lever for him though because immigration is the sole important issue of our time.

It will be a runoff between Espy and Hyde-Smith. McDaniel burned a lot of bridges in the last election.

And this would be reason enough not to vote for him right here. I like less government spending as much as the next guy but not accepting any federal dollars for projects basically means Mississippians would be paying federal taxes and then not getting any benefits for the money they've paid. We'd essentially be giving money away to other states. Kind of like we did when we refused to expand medicaid.

I wonder how many he burned that had ever been built to start with. His fanatical base still supports him just as much as they ever did. And almost no one outside that group ever supported him. Espy will get 100% of the democratic vote, and with Hyde-Smith being such a weak candidate, it's going to be a close 3-way race.

I’m telling you it won’t be a three horse race. McDaniel only has the fanatics now and many of his not so fanatic supports from last go round aren’t there.

I want term limits for all of these bastards. Cochran stayed about 3 decades too long. 8 years and you’re done imo. You also don’t get a lifetime paycheck when you leave office.

Two things-

1) Chris McDaniel is a phony. He's your standard, cut-from-the-same-cloth Mississippi politician we've had since the days of John C. Stennis and James Eastland......talk conservative in Mississippi, talk like a Kennedy in Washington. The "tea party" schtick for Chris McDaniel is just that, a schtick....and I know my schticks.

2) Mississippi is NOT a "conservative" state. Mississippi sure talks a good show. However, when it comes to nut-cutting time, Mississippi's economic philosophy has more to do with Marx than Hayek. Mississippians want their politicians bringing home gubmint money- Bennie Thompson bringing more welfare for his constituents, more gubmint funding of military bases for the rest (BTW, Mississippi is an absolutely ****** State to have a training base- weather's unpredictable, too many rainy days).
