There is only 1 Alex Henery.
Man we've been spoiled over the years by great kickers and punters sometimes from the walk on ranks. We HAVE to find better players at those spots. I get it that Pickering's been injured but man. One would think that a kid would see an opportunity here to make it big.

Placekicker, more than any other position (my opinion), is the most reliant on the mental aspect. Being out for +/- 2 months and then upon his return he is immediately expected to "return to normal" without the benefit of practice and repetition is placing a lot of pressure on his mentality. Pickering was solid enough last year, and I think he is the same next year things are back to normal. This year may still be a crapshoot.

I also believe his absence absolutely changed the way the team played once they were in fg range. I think it made them play tight, knowing they always had to score a touchdown instead of knowing that at least have 3. Forced Coach Frost to alter his play calling as well.

When did I say that? Go back and read what I responded to.

I asked if Hickman played and how he looked. Someone replied that he didn’t play to which you said
“Shocker. If anything, Frost has been consistent in making puzzling personnel decisions.”

Were you not referring to Hickmans move?

I have mixed thought on this one. Obviously they like him and see a future with him at WR to move him and we desperately need a big WR. However, it makes me question some other things. What will this do to our TE room? Hickman was the only TE we signed last year and it doesn't look like we plan to sign one this year. Also, is this bad news on the Betts and/or Omar Manning front?
They have the big TE transfer from Rutgers that will enter the mix next year. He could be special.

Clearly I wasn't.
