Against Nebraska.
I didn't watch the whole game but what i saw her looked poised, hit a smooth 3 pointer, rebounded, played with a good sense of the game. Call me pleasantly surprised.

I wonder how he would do against Big10 competition.

4-13 FG and 4 TOs vs. one assist. Seven boards though. Still night and day from what he was capable of at Rutgers

Players do develop over time. It’s 4 years later from when he arrived at Rutgers.

Yeah rough night shooting but overall efficiency looks improved. Happy to see he’s developed into a player. Think he should average double digits for what looks like a decent UNM team

Why are RU fans so obsessed with players who, by their own choice have left? Who cares how they perform!

If we still had Simpson, Wolf, Chol, Griffiths etc we'd be a much better team.

respectfully. That’s not the issue.

And frankly I don’t even agree - it’s not like any one of them actually turned into stars. Sure - a few years removed they are better than they were at RU as freshman and Sophs). But so what? Yeah so 21/22 year olds turn out to be a bit improved compared to where they were at 18/19. Duh.

But that is the kind of thinking that is dooming pike.

Its 2025

you can’t hope to build a program by developing players anymore

you have to have a program that: (1) has the $$ to bring in established players and (2) be ability to identity the talent / players to assemble a brand new squad every year

pike/ ru are failing miserably in this new era. While (1) isn’t pikes entirely fault (2) certainly is. He is failing MISERABLY at assembly squads in this new era

talking “what ifs” about arguably- marginal players YEARS after they left RU is so 2018

Obsessed?

It was fun to recognize him on the game and see how he progressed. And to reminisce about when we got to keep players for 4 years as transfers and development projects.

What about this do you object to?
