I don't for a second believe any rational fan would have a whole lot of frustration and anger over a sport, a sport in which they have zero connection to. The players don't give two ***** about the fans or the program. The fans literally have nothing to do with the product on the court.
Probably be hard pressed to find a place on the internet where those that cared about their favorite team gathered to talk about it.

It shows me you've never played a competitive spectator sport. I believe if you had you would see this differently.

I did, but not at any high level. The point I was making is that a lot of the frustration displayed is ragebait material. And fans give themselves way too much credit in terms of players being attracted to specific schools. The fans have no impact on a player's future, truly, unless we're talking popularity contests. Once upon a time players WERE attracted to specific schools because of said school's legacy or rivalries, but that's changed. Also, competition isn't confined to sports.

I don't know about saying Chinyelu has no NBA potential. Teams need role players and Chinyelu is a significant defensive presence with impressive measurables. Big, strong body with a 7’8” wingspan. Has some scoring ability around the rim and doesn’t hurt you by trying to do too much. Was projected as at least a 2nd rounder in mock drafts, so somebody at least thinks he’s worth being selected by an NBA team.

Compare Chinyelu to Quaintance. If healthy Quaintance has more bounce than Chinyelu, but in things that impact winning it seems Chinyelu otherwise compares well. Likewise, if the argument is that you can’t play in the NBA if you’re not a 3pt. threat (not true by the way), then Quaintance better come back to UK for an accounting degree or something. Basically, I don’t see why Chinyelu couldn’t be useful on an NBA team and I think he probably will.

My measure for chinyelu is oscar. Oscar is a much better version of the exact same package. If Oscar cant, chinyelu dam sure cant.

Obviously that's jmo but I think my rationale is solid.

Florida has an unlimited payroll; they are going all-in for championship. Must be nice to have your three best players come back. When's the last time Kentucky has had that? 2015? Before then? 1950?
Calipari said it in shade at Kentucky this year. Administrators win championships. Florida boosters, AD , President, Alumni everyone comes together and finds a way to bring these guys back. Mitch goes to church and hides under his desk from the NCAA.
You guys who think firing Pope will fix our problems are delusional. It wasn’t Calipari Stoops, Pope or Stein that put us where we are. It’s Mitch Barnharts administration. A new coach won’t change ish.

Two things:
1.Chinylu is a MUCH better defensive player than Oscar.
2. Oscar will be in the NBA next year.

Chinyelu is two inches taller, has a wingspan four inches longer, and is a FAR better interior defender than Oscar.

Not at all the “exact same package.”

I was surprised to see that Chinyelu had only 36 blocks in 35 games last year. He’s a very good college player along side Haugh and Condon but he’s not a FAR better defender.
