Goff got blew up when the ball wasn't in his hands. It was a push block with a defenders arms and he flew. Mahomes got a roughing because helmets hit. They call that all the time. The other roughing was weak. But you're comparing apples and oranges.
Simpler than most people will admit.
NFL is a business, and Mahomes is one of their greatest assets. Of course they’ll protect him more than anyone else.
It would slow down if fewer people watched their games. Unfortunately, like Colorado, there is a large part of the population that hate watches their games.
Saw this stat earlier today. Using the number of times per 100 attempts a QB is “Roughed” by the defense, Mahomes is second among active QB’s…..on his own team. Carson Wentz has been roughed at a higher rate than Mahomes.
Among all active QBs, Mahomes is 20th.
NFL got thier team in the Championship game. Hopefully the Bills or Ravens will beat the Chiefs/Refs by far enough they can't help them win. Doubtful for sure.
I hope the refs call it more even than their history suggests...cause its been blatant bias against the Chiefs with the penalties.
What’s an attempt? Is this stat ignoring the “roughing” that happens beyond the LOS?

League still loved Brady back in 2018-2020. Mahomes is the new Brady. Enjoy it.. you’re starting to sound like a NE fan pretending their boy doesn’t get calls.
I loved it when Brady was in Tampa. Getting gifts left and right then destroying KC in the SB…. Was awesome getting the calls!!
It’s not the penalties it’s when or not when the penalties or Fouls in a Basketball game are called or not called. I am sure you are one that leaves a football stadium or BB arena when the penalties and fouls are even and say the officials had no bearing on the outcome of the game. That’s not always the case.

The Chiefs got a roughing the passer call with 7 minutes left if the first quarter with the Chiefs on their own 30. That crunch time penalty outweighs them all I guess.
They are all important When the penalty gets called on 3rd down and would result in a punt.and the team eventually gets points on the drive.even in the 1st qt that directly affects the game.
OK, so it is only the third down penalties that lead to points that matter. Chiefs have the fourth worst penalty deferential in the NFL since 2018, but I’m sure none of those were on third down.
Good news is the slide everyone seems to be up in arms about was on first down, so that one is now cool.

Don’t hate the chefs I actually like Andy Ried anPM and his game speaks for themselves. I just have a knowledge of the game that I understand what some of the gripes are.
Chiefs fans: I like all of you guys but go ahead and just type in “Chiefs” on twitter. Literally EVERY other fanbase knows what’s going on..It’s not “jealousy” it’s not “hate”. It’s just flat out that obvious. It couldn’t be much clearer to EVERYONE else..People that have little to no reason to be biased, or too close to the situation like Chiefs fans are.
If no one could watch the games I would defer to the stats too. The problem is people can watch the games, and they all agree. I’ll be at Arrowhead August 28th. I don’t hate the chiefs and I like the city, but it’s too obvious.

The context is important. Chiefs are notoriously dirty so I’m not doubting they get their fair share of calls in the regular season. Their penalty rate disappearing while their opponents skyrockets in the playoffs makes zero sense.
Interesting. Buffalo is clearly the more talented team, is playing better right now, and beat KC head to head earlier this season. BUT I would think it would be really hard to bet money on them actually going into Arrowhead and beating KC.
I would not feel good about being on either side of this one, honestly. Is anyone betting this game?
