Teachers are all weirdos these days.
Don't think that punishment fits the crime. I'm all for firing them and even going after financial restitution.
Totally agree, however the politicians are afraid of them. Nothing will be done. Lightfoot is an idiot and will cowtow to them.
So what exactly is the difference Coop between public employee Unions and Bernie Sander's promise of the Government to "guarantee" every worker's job?

From what I have witnessed from her she has a long way to go until sh has attained the 'idiot' moniker. Thrusting her into that category is a glaring insult to those who are truly "idiots' and have spend numerous years doing all possible to cement their position therein.
My wife missed 10 days with Covid. Otherwise, she has been in her classroom everyday of school. Crazy what some of these school districts are doing.
Been a roller coaster for my kids. Started hybrid/2 days a week. Then closed for 2 weeks, reopened for 1 week....then closed indefinitely after Thanksgiving - Jan 1. Back to hybrid now and planning full time shortly.
They are elementary school. The high school has been virtual all year.
Tensions with parents seem to be boiling over this week.
Crazy. Louisiana in general and her school district have done it about right.
I've been patient and bit my tongue.
We have 2 in elementary school, a 2 year old and a baby who was born in Sept. Not an ideal situation to home school kids. Neither my wife and I can work from home.
We are hoping the district staff can get vaccinated shortly so there should be less resistance from teachers.
This week one of the teachers made a really stupid remark in a comment section for a local news story about kids returning to school, and parents are starting to take the gloves off...there's a feeling of confrontation brewing.
I been in research for over 10 years and can’t imagine how many studies I will see soon from Investigators examining the psychological impacts this will cause for individuals under 18 for decades. Damn shame that these unions never think of the kids. Here’s the NYT’s even starting to comment on it. You know it’s bad when they are raising concerns.
Ive worried about abused children who can no longer leave the house for school.
A large amount abuse is discovered when kids go to school. Talk to a principal and ask how many times they've called children services.
I fully agree and apologize that my former post did not fully convey what I was intending. To me, she is far beyond that which is expected of those generally accepted as being an 'IDIOT'. She, in my opinion, is embarking on creating a category of 'idiots', a level to which few have ever even attempted to stoop.
