A lot can change for all of these programs in 2 years in the current state of modern college football. However, if they all remain at a similar level to where they are now, it might be good night, Irene, for Kraft and CMC. Wow, what a nightmare gauntlet for year 3 of a now rebuilding program. At Least fans can't complain about having a lackluster home schedule. Bonus...no biting cold November home games either.

We don't yet know on what dates the BiG games will be. I'm sure there will be November games. I wish the conference would at least announce the weekends games will be on more than a few months in advance for planning purposes.

That is the schools we will play. That will not be the order that we play them. Likely won’t be announced until December 2027.

Uh - the Big Ten games don't have dates set. They certainly will not be 5 straight home games, then 4 straight road games

FWIW: And I think everyone would agree: If they played that schedule this year a 0-5 Big Ten home record would not be at all out of the question.

Why is Nebraska in bold?
But who knows how those teams will be in 2 years or how good we'll be

Been talking about this since spring. The future is bright :ROFLMAO:
This is why it was so critical to win 10 this year with a cupcake schedule. Those saying give the staff time, can't be serious when they view the future schedules.

The non-conf schedule stinks. Would love to see them get a home/home with UGA

The Big 10 may not exist as it stands by then.
We can only hope.
I'm of the mindset that they should blow up all conferences for football and non-revenue sports.
For football, have two levels of 1A - Power 65 (or whatever) and Group 70 (or whatever), still with one regular season inter-play game between them. But two separate playoffs and Champions (I'm one of "those" who can't get enough college football).
Gets rid of Conference Title Games by default. Go to 11 regular season games, mandatory 10 Power vs. Power for each school. As the Pac 12 is doing now, figure out after 11 games who plays who for their 12the game if a team does not make the 24-team playoff.
This also gets rid of conference-affiliated referees, as basketball did. Long overdue.

Basketball can keep conferences, just re-mix them, imo.

Non-revenue sports should be regionalized as much as possible, with regional and then national playoffs and Champions. The Midwestern Big Ten schools (for example) would most likely keep most of the other regional schools on these schedules. Wrestling, for example, would want to keep those rivalries intact. That's fine. I want to keep long-time historic rivalries. But PSU Soccer shouldn't be spending time during the regular season traveling to the West Coast, and vice versa. There are plenty of soccer programs up and down the east coast.

I totally agree with this theory. I can remember 106 FBS teams, now it's 138. As it stands, other than the group of 70 as you stated, the players on those other teams will be basically feeders via the portal. The NFL model is silently setting college football to mirror it. Maybe
schedules can be made as the NFL does along with national referees.

Well, based on the virtual loss of the 2026 recruiting class, and next year’s class looking weaker than we are used to, I’m going to guess that both MAC games will be competitive. WRT that Big Ten Schedule…….HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

That's gonna require a lot of "coaching up."
I think if PSU beats Michigan this week they have a path to the playoffs. Michigan beat Oklahoma, Oklahoma beat Texas, Texas beat Ohio State. ;)
