My family good down here in Walthall County, unfortunately we had 3 fatalities a couple of miles north of us. The storm that came up from Louisiana through Pike County spawned 2 huge tornadoes that headed north/northeast of us. One of them went right over our house-we heard it as it went over. I’ve been in several tornadoes so I know the sound. You never forget that sound. The tornado went right over us-we had the Weather Channel on the TV and Jim Cantore says “if you live in the Dinan community in Walthall County, MS, you need to take cover immediately-there’s a ‘catastrophic” tornado right upon you”. That hit my attention-thankfully, for my family, the tornado was in the air at the time. It touched down about 3 miles north of us and killed 3 people. Then, it headed east to Bassfield, Collins, and on over into Alabama. The other tornado was taking the same East/northeast track toward Jeff Davis and Jones County (Soso, I think). We are very fortunate.
