Scotland vs Butler in first game

[Deana_King_rivals106402]

[btango]

I have had two fans just contact me that they left because of the parking situation and lack of communication. Great football but ensure logistics are in place for a great fan experience.

[btango]

Looks like a storm is blowing in. Will MC and DF even line up tonight? Hope so!!!!

[BlueandGold34]

Think do Btango if they dont mind kicking off late

[btango]

Play suspended due to inclement weather.

[Deana_King_rivals106402]

Game suspended for weather

[DPIII]

No word on how long this weather delay will last... The rain and thunder has not let up.

[DPIII]

I am hearing that a decision could be made as soon as 6:15.

[Moparforever]

I was just down the road in Shelby and the rain came through pretty fast. Should be gone soon

[Deana_King_rivals106402]

Parking nightmare

[DPIII]

Scotland players are beginning to put their shoulder pads back on... We could be starting back up shortly!!!

[Deana_King_rivals106402]

Met HSFBMan and thank you for your support!!

Hey friend! Anyẃhere to hear this game online?

[Ladge_rivals481197]

Do they not have the parking deck open? Maybe a much bigger crowd than the past couple of years.

[Deana_King_rivals106402]

It was closed is what they told me

[btango]

Game starting back at 6:49. Teams in field.

Small crowd!!!

Parking deck is under structural review and closed. I get that BUT get the word out to the media where people need to park. Get police directly traffic and signage.

Events need to make all of the media a partner. The internet sites are good at getting info out with tweets and forums leading to word of mouth. Embrace it!

[btango]

Just spoke to a photographer that carries heavy duty equipment and does great photos. He was directed to park close 1/2 mile away. He went home.

[Deana_King_rivals106402]

I parked about the same distance as well. I have knee issues as well.

Also open the whole lower deck to people especially since there were several elderly that can’t climb steps. I saw about 3 almost fall.

[BlueandGold34]

Charlotte has always been terrible with special events.

[JMACDE99]

SC Pass defense is still very bad.

[Wildcatsback2back]

According to Doppler radar, around 8:00-10:30 a huge line of storms coming through. Hate to have drove here to see this and can’t but you gotta wonder if they are going to decide

[Bigdadd1110]

Btango is Elizabeth Traditional/independence park not available for parking? Also is memorial now assigned seats?

[DPIII]

Butler to receive to start the 2nd half.

Bulldogs currently ahead of the Scots 27-6.

JMAC, they can't play no worse than they did tonite. The Thomas kid played alright in pass coverage and Smiley played his Butt off both ways. I think they will get better with each game.

[rcoraider98]

Any updates on the next game?

[NBBears20124ACHAMPS]

Game will not be played tonight. What a disaster.

[BlueandGold34]

Cant wait to hear back story. Weather has been fine for an hour

[Deana_King_rivals106402]

Can’t play past midnight

[ForsythCoNC]

SMH! I'm really glad I didn't make that drive like I was going to.

Feel for the players, staff, and fans out there tonight.

[btango]

Game will not be played tonight. What a disaster.

That’s the official statement. The truth is, it is not being played, period!

[BlueandGold34]

That’s the official statement. The truth is, it is not being played, period!

Meaning?

[btango]

I am so pissed right now I will not post much but will do so later. The Director of the NCHSAA, Que Tucker, informed MC AD that the game must be halted at 11:59. No exceptions.

I am going to try to get some additional info and post tomorrow on Monday.

[btango]

Meaning?

Cancelled. Will not be played.

[Kylar24]

Why not play monday? Its not like it'll interfere with school

Tommy offered for the Creek to travel to Columbia on Monday. Mallard Creek declined. Butler on Friday. Game will not happen.

First off the parking and stadium situation was horrible. Part of my family gave up and went home because parking was non existent for the second game. Once the first game finished the crowd really started to build. They forced people on both sides to sit in middle sections and in the lower bowl. Some of us enjoy the higher view which enables a better analysis of the game plus some fans are there to socialize and not actually watch the game and I myself would rather not be near them. Overall a very poor logistical event which I am sure left a bad taste to the patrons.

On a positive note the energy when DF & Creek came out of the lockeroom for warm ups was palatable. They both looked physically like pretty much mirror images about to start a real heavyweight fight. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to witness it.

[Mpj2k9]

What was the reason why Mallard Creek declined the Monday option to Columbia? Playing DF Monday then going to Butler on Friday would’ve been rough. I prefer a fresh MC. Heard the game will be at the Matthews sportsplex
