i saw where he was a five star out of Louisville but doesn’t have UK on his list. Anyone know anything?

He plays for a team that is a high school prep program that just moved to Louisville from Arizona, I think this past year. So I don’t think he has any other connections around here other than that. As far as if cal is recruiting him or not, I honestly have no idea but it doesn’t really sound like he is since I haven’t seen anywhere that he’s watched him play recently.
If we got involved we'd be able to make a move on him. Brandon Bender is one of his big AAU guys and I'm fairly friendly with him he loves Cal and would like any of his kids to play for him, he's very friendly with Stansbury too that's why they are way up on the list.
He will never play college ball. Has zero desire to. They believe the rule change for HS and NBA will change by the time he graduates. They said if it doesn’t he may go overseas.
If he's thinking of playing overseas someone should have a player has played over there talk to him. That article about the former cats that are in g league and playing overseas says it all.
If he has no desire to go to school and is a junior he will reclassify and be immediately eligible at Duke.
I watched Aspire Academy and Bassey play at Flyin To The Hoop in January. He's talented, smooth but his post game seemed soft, also another 6'-11" guy in love with 3pt. line.
Aspire played two 6'11" guys most of the game against LaLumiere but Isiah Stewart 6'9"/ 230 dominated them!!! He is #32 Rivals, #25 on 24/7 (86% crystal ball PUKE) and #13 ESPN with lots of big time offers but no interest from UK (?).

There is only one or two schools that Bassey would be eligible to play for. If he were to go to Dook he would be cleared in twenty fours hours. If he went to the Jailhawks, the Rug Doctor would have to get on TV and do some whining about what a great kid he is and he speaks seven languages before the NCAA would cave in.
