Those other analyst all jealous. Charles is loved. He in every other commercial. No one wants Bilas or Smith or jay williams in a commercial. Precisely because they aren’t fun. Boringly serious. It’s entertainment and their little agenda ruin it.

Kenny Smith rubs me the wrong way as well. However, out of Kellogg, Smith and Barkley, I do find Smith to be the one who is most likely to say something truly insightful. I get the sense he could potentially be a great analyst if he could get past his personality.
With Barkley, I think the lesson there is simply that people will give you a long leash if you’re genuine, not mean spirited and own things.
Whatever he says or picks he makes, you feel certain that Barkley truly believes it. And when it doesn’t play out, like when his bracket blows up, he simply owns it and laughs about it. He doesn’t try to explain away things in an attempt to save face. You also don’t see him taking a lot of shots at people or trying to have the hot take. Definitely enjoy having Barkley as part of the tournament each year.

Kenny Smith is arrogant, condescending, and better than you because he went to pristine and above it all North Carolina Chapel Hill. He is a perfect representive, fake degree and all, of that institution.
Charles loves Auburn and it shows and that's ok. The thing that's different about him and Kenny is that Charles gives other teams credit when they are playing Auburn. Kenny has a hard time giving Kentucky credit for anything against any team. He just flat out doesn't like Kentucky, of course the feeling is mutual, I don't like North Carolina*. Hubert Davis was about as bad, glad he is gone.
Loved how CB threw shade on Kenny when they were talking about Dawkins being the first Duke top recruit and now about to coach against them.

I hated him while he was at Auburn, fan ever since. Of course it helps that him crying on the floor after his last SEC tournament is one of my favorite basketball memories. Do like him though, just wish he'd stop hanging around with Spike Lee.
The 4 of them make for the best commentary in sports. I may not agree with them individually but as a group they are must watch TV. And of course Sir Charles is the best of all.
Yup, Barkley holds nothing back and at least makes his bias humorous for us to enjoy. That’s why he’s one of the best IMO
Big difference with Barkley, Bilas and Williams. They(Bilas/Williams) analyze, call CBB games for a living. Barkley does not; Just the NCAAT. If Barkley was calling a game, and doing this, he'd catch the same **** Bilas does. If Barkley was a full-time analyst for ESPN, covering CBB, i.e. Williams, he would catch the same ****. But he is not paid to cover CBB. Paid to call CBB games. He's a March Madness guy only. His employer is TNT, and the NBA. Not ESPN.
