Changing Expectations

Has there been a UK team that the expectations have been so high and then have dip down to what they are now?

NIT team started in the top 10.

We figured out very quick the nit team was extremely overrated. I've never seen a UK carry the highest of expectations for more than half of a season, and then just implode.

Been watching a long time, and this team has me confused. Can't even begin to figure them out. Still think we have the talent to make a run, but changes are going to have to be made. Both as a team and individually.

The NIT team had a season ending injury to their star player or they would have been in the NCAA. Noel's defense against Ole Miss still was one of the best I have ever seen. So, could hardly say they were a disappointment. This team right now has to be the leader of the pack because they were thought to be pre-season by every rating at least in the top 5 with some suggesting number 1 or 1 A.
Also, I remember after seeing the first few games this season there were posters here (who will admit to it) saying Monk and Fox were the greatest guard duo to have ever played at Kentucky!

We are all over-thinking this.

We have beaten some good teams.. but we outscored them way more so than defended them strong. Look at the numbers UCLA and UNC put up when we "were playing like title contenders."

Teams have figured us out and it wasn't hard.
Pack it in and play in Monk's grill.
We have zero rim protection and our guards.. um, have trouble defending.

Nothing's really new.

Other teams have figured us out.
But we haven't figured out how to better our deficiencies.

Most had given up on '14 way earlier. Probably by the time we lost at home to Baylor, off the top of my head.

We were the favorite in Vegas a couple weeks ago.
