I liked CC but never thought he fitted at Ky. One of Pope’s first mistakes was bringing him to Lexington right after he returned from Mission abroad. It just looked like favoritism & started all the Mormon chatter.True or not , it gave recruiting competitors another opportunity to inject that rumor into the conversation.
I wish Chandler luck at BYU & hope his replacement is a baller.

Recruiting Mormons or in-state is the only way that Mark Pope can get high school guys.

Dude wtf. Maybe looking into that a little to deep. Collin was a solid player for us. He fit in Lexington just fine it was just time for him to move on and go back home. Never knew there was all this chatter about favoritism I mean he had to play Chandler this year and quite frankly Colin delievered a solid season, not great but solid. It is what it is.

It's a bummer, but I don’t blame the kid and any rational person would do the same thing. Turning down that level of money would be stupid. He's not a future lottery pick, by any means. However, I imagine playing for the alma mater of both the owner and the CEO of the Utah Jazz probably has it's advantages for his future.

You forgot about hiring the dad as an assistant. That worked too.
Pope only does that to get 3 stars that won’t help us. If it’s a 5 star like Crowe then he just doesn’t have interest in that.

This era of college basketball is strictly business and it's rare to find loyalty. The closest you may come is a player giving a chance to match or come close to another offer. "Leaving the door open". Chandler and Jelly did exactly that and at least sent out a nice message of appreciation of BBN. The only 2 players that had enough decency and respect. The other 5 haven't ... no surprise.

Funny how many here are dissing CC and Pope simply because of the Mormon aspect.

I don’t see many negative Muslim comments disparaging MD leaving.

This is just pro sports, not life or death…some sick 💩 here.

Being a Kentucky fan gets harder to take with each passing day.

NIL has murdered Kentucky.

Letting Coach Cal go has not gone so well.
