I put our odds of winning at about 35-40% tomorrow. Brimah being out will help open up some lanes for Shaq, but I'm worried about our perimeter defense and rebounding. I could easily see Purvis lighting us up for 20 or more points. This is kind of a make it or break it game for TU in regards to any tourney chances, so I'm hoping they'll come out with better intensity.

Thoughts?

I agree with Lawpoke. I see our guys coming out focused and driven. The key to UCONN is not Purvis, it's Hamilton. He is a match-up nightmare for us. Too quick for Smith, too big for Shaq or Juice.

SMU and Cincinnati are just bad match-ups for our personnel right now. South Carolina built the same way SMU is. ORU and UALR games are just chalked up to not being motivated by the opponent, which is a bad way to go into games. I see this team being able to run off 8-10 straight like last year if they find a groove, which they apparently seem on their way to doing. We'll see.

If you saw UConn lose at home v. Temple and then barely win v. Memphis, you would feel more confident about TU's chances. I won't be shocked with a loss, but I will be disappointed. This is the key game to determine whether TU has a good or merely mediocre season.

EDIT: Too bad this team didn't get a couple of power ball tickets. That was a lucky (and gritty) win. I like it.
