Did he make any plays? He "looked" like a player out there but I don't recall any splash plays from him. I'm sure he helped a ton with the communication on defense though. First game so he may have been a step behind but I'll give guys like Foster credit. He seemingly improved a ton with Chambliss on the field. I was again impressed by 40 as well. Good depth...

He seemed to be in the right area… but to me it looked like he was favoring the hammy BIG TIME. I have a text thread with some buddies and early on I said that I like how he looks, but didn’t thing he was totally healthy. Usually I’m down with guys gutting stuff out, but it kind of made me cringe. I tore a quad Freshman year of college. Tried coming back fast and re-injured it worse. Took me out of Summer league that year.

If he was favoring I wish they would've held him out. Gonna need him healthy come BIG time. I don't think him being there or not would've changed the outcome yesterday. I would've erred on healthy him.

LB grades in order per SI (don't really know what these numbers mean)
Foster - 22 snaps, run 76.2, tackling 80.1
Chambliss - 35 snaps, run 72, tackling 78.5
V9 - 25 snaps, run 66.7, tackling 27.2(!)
For comparison, the best overall graders on the DL were Stoudamire (12 snaps, 71.7/73.8), Whittington (31 snaps 74.8/69.7) and RVP (18 snaps, 69.7/72.2).

Shavers either needs to get that club off his arm or start using it. Can't believe he still has it after a full offseason.

Who was the guy who didnt even try at all to tackle the guy on the sideline on that Bowling Green TD play? It was 28 or 29. He could have easily stopped the play but he just let him go by, it was bizaare.

I'll be honest, I was disappointed in Chambliss' play compared to how he has performed in practices. There was a play in particular where he was in the hole and didn't make the tackle. Very uncharacteristic of him.
My hope is that there were some first game jitters/nerves that he wasn't able to get out a week ago. He flowed to the right area well, so it wasn't that he was "bad", but I was expecting more. Looked tentative at times.
Perhaps the hammy wasn't feeling as good as he thought.
