Very short practice/recovery week with travel added in:
-Staff had less time to work with players in practice on game plan
---Result will be staff will have to be astute in making in-game adjustments
-Night game (9 PM Eastern). This new team will have some meetings and meal, but out of home element for additional time
-Are Riker, Rapplyyea, and Dixson recovered enough to give max effort?
-Do Rocco Becht, the OL, and receivers improve enough to sustain drives, score more than last week, and give the defense better breaks?
-Can the defensive staff gameplan taking away the NW extensive use of their TEs?

Can Becht play better?

That is essentially the main headline/question.

Beyond that....

-Need to contain Chiles and not make their pass offense look like the '84 Dolphins
-D Line can't be Charmin soft
-O-Line needs to get much tougher and nastier and create some running space
-WRs need to step up, Eskildsen looking at
you
-Brahmer plus Rapp need to be factors

All valid (except start time) but IMO it all comes down to can another one of the WRs step up and adequately replace Howard. Northwestern will take away the run (or try) so the only way we're going to change that is by the passing game taking a step forward.
Only 2 back should play...Peoples and Hansen if Hansen is healthy
We have to stop the "everyone gets a turn" as this isn't little league.

You’re going to die on that Hansen hill if it kills you.

I think Chiles will get 200 all purpose and be a pain for our Defence but not so much so that we lose. I like the chances of us getting multiple turnovers.

I think our Offense rebounds behind a 225+ performance by Rocco and a 150+ performance on the ground. Everyone is anticipating a low scoring, tight game. I think we keep NW at a distance and win 30-18.

Where's the Game Thread??
