Good to see State in the top 25. But is Iowa that good to be top 10 above Memphis with a quality win? Is Clemson at #1 suprising? Discuss
I'm surprised at Florida's ranking, especially relative to Bama.
UF has the best win of the 2 in OM. Bama's best two wins are Tennessee and Georgia, both of whom Florida beat.
When it comes to losses, UF lost at No. 2 LSU while Bama lost at home to No. 18.
I'd say UF's resume is as good as any 1 loss team's.
Tell us about those major wins for TCU, and Baylor. Time will take care of it.

Exactly. They may as well be ranking teams at random at this point. I think the committee did a lot of damage to its credibility last year. They should just do it like the basketball committee does. At the end of the season, announce who's in and who's out.remember last year all the CFB Rankings turned out to be totally meaningless.
This is a weekly ESPN Rating grab for Tuesdays in Novemeber.
Pat Forde tells it pretty well.Tell us about those major wins for TCU, and Baylor. Time will take care of it.
If the Big 12 has a representative in your initial top four, you’re doing it wrong.
There are four viable playoff contenders from that league at this point, more than any other conference. But that’s also largely a function of having played no one.
Baylor (6): Most notable victory to date is over West Virginia, which has a losing record. The two true road games have been at SMU and Kansas, both of which are pitiful.
TCU (7): Most notable victory is probably at Texas Tech, and that came courtesy of a fortuitous tipped-pass reception in the end zone in the final minute. (The Horned Frogs drilled West Virginia last week, but that was at home.)
Oklahoma State (8): Most notable victory was at West Virginia, in overtime. It was the third of three straight narrow escapes over middling competition (Texas and Kansas State were the others).
Oklahoma (9): Most notable victory was at Tennessee in September. The Volunteers are now 4-4. While the comeback win in Knoxville beats anything the rest of the league has done, the Sooners’ stunning loss to Texas also leaves them a step behind the above three teams.
Of the 30 victories by those four teams, exactly zero have come against teams currently in the AP Top 25. There is no meat on that Big 12 bone. They haven’t proved anything yet.

Iowa beat a ranked Northwestern on the road.
Iowa beat a ranked Wisconsin on the road.
I don't think Iowa deserves to be in the top 4 even if they win out, but its not like they have beaten nobody.
I fully expect them to drop like a rock once they lose.
Pay no attention to the rankings now, or any other week until the end of the season. Here is what will happen:
Big 10 champion is in
SEC champion is in, unless it has 2 losses
Big 12 champion is in
4th spot goes to Clemson if they go undefeated. Possibly still in with 1 loss, but a 1-loss Notre Dame team or 1-loss PAC-12 champion could take that spot.
