CFB Bowl Game Thread (non-playoff games)

[LionJim]

nice line by Cole Cubelic...."What is too much gusto?"

For me, any gusto at all.

[BobPSU92]

yeah I want to be able to glance at a tv screen and know with about 80 to 90 percent certainty who is playing

Like folks have said over the years, “You always know when Penn State is playing based on the uniform.”

[PSUQbKeeper]

now on the turnover the announcers also do not want a flag for that Miami hit, they missed that he smashed a dude from behind? sometimes I wonder if they actually are watching

[BobPSU92]

lol, ESPN misspelled Michael Irvin’s name (Irving).

Speling matters.

[LionJim]

Speling matters.

I see what you did there. Posting so others won’t miss it. Attaboy.

[BobPSU92]

I keep hearing espn advertise the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl. Stop this horse-a$$. It’s the Sunkist Fiesta Bowl. For f*ck’s sake.

[PSU87]

lol, ESPN misspelled Michael Irvin’s name (Irving).

He can't read, so no harm done.

Tostitos

[BobPSU92]

Watching these bowl games, I feel like defenders are being given too much leeway with tackling past the whistle. It’s not enough to stop forward progress to the whistle. The defender has to drive a guy ten yards down the field or into the ground. Where are the flags?

[BobPSU92]

Tostitos

That too.

For me, any gusto at all.

Miami up 31-28 at half. Iowa St is done… they had to punt!

[BobPSU92]

Final in the Isleta New Mexico Bowl: TCU 34, Louisiana 3

A$$. BEATING.

[PSUQbKeeper]

lol so much for irrefutable evidence

Iowa St getting jobbed

[PSUQbKeeper]

Iowa St getting jobbed

glad that it ultimately didn't matter in this case

[PSUQbKeeper]

I have had the game on in the background so missed it when it happened but.....Cam Ward just decides to sit out the second half?

Yeah, not playing.

[PSUQbKeeper]

Yeah, not playing.

well hell I don't know why....it isn't like the Cyclone defense is going to hit him

[Nittany1865Farmer]

Iowa State better change uniforms again. Use the colors black and blue because they are getting beaten around by da U...

[NittPicker]

I predict Hunter and Sanders will do the same thing at the Alamo Bowl. Maybe wishful thinking since I picked BYU.

might stop playing in the middle of a play, I dunno

[PSUQbKeeper]

glad Iowa St got that touchdown, I think it was clear he got in on 3rd down

[MtNittany]

Da U is weak. Can't stop anything. Doesn't stop them from celebrating though.

Miami has inspired a new flavor of Pop-Tart... choke berries with cream in their honor....

[NewEra 2026]

I just had to stop watching the evening bowl games. The portal has absolutely ruined college football. I don't know how you fix it. One announcer was blah, blah, blah move the portal date to after December. The problem is, transfers would have to be "enrolled" at their new employer before "classes" start. Very few will want to forgo spring practice with their new team to see if they did to portal out before fall.

I think they have to get rid of Spring practice, and end the playoffs the week after New Years to try to fix the NCAAF schedule.

[BobPSU92]

duh u fails to win.

[PSUQbKeeper]

Mario's Crystal Balls, close to the playoffs but instead lose the Pop Tarts Bowl to ISU

[Phlebitis]

duh u fails to win.

Good. They are one of the handful of teams I root against every single time they play no matter what. Old grudges I guess.

[LB99]

Can people stop saying that Miami would have been a better team for the playoff. Their defense is awful.

[laKavosiey-st lion]

GO BUFFS BEAT BYU

SO PUMPED FOR THIS GAME!

I love cam, so fun to watch.

[PSUQbKeeper]

I like the East Carolina shiny purple helmets (not a euphemism)

[laKavosiey-st lion]

I love Coach so much

[PSUQbKeeper]

London Montgomery sighting, wonder if he ever got his body into football form

[PSUQbKeeper]

announcers ignoring the fact that the BYU pass was not good

acting like it was a simple drop

[laKavosiey-st lion]

Nooo

[laKavosiey-st lion]

He tight

[BobPSU92]

BYU looking better than colorado, but it’s early. 7-0, Cougars ( ).
