If I'm Boston I dangle the pick out there. Let the Lakers get nervous enough that someone will trade up to get Ball. Then offer the 1 to them for Randle or Russell and the 2nd pick. If they bite you can then take Jackson or Tatum at 2 like you need to anyway.

The Lakers have no reason to be afraid of someone trading up to get Ball. Reason being that they know they can get Fultz, Fox or Jackson with the next pick, and they can potentially be better than Ball. They're not gonna be duped into making a silly trade.

i would say Celtics take Fultz. I think that's what you mean?
How long is Isaiah Thomas under contract for? It seems like Jackson is more of a need for them and he may be the best layer anyway.

I changed my opinion, and i think they need to wait about what happens in this match up with Cleveland. Depending on that, i would change the strategies.

Also IT will be UFA in 2018 (Before 2019 season).

He is only making 6 mil a year and under contract for another year. In comparison Amir Johnson makes 12 mil lol.

I personally agree with you. But I think Magic wants Ball badly. He wants to make a splash. I would definitely float it out there if I were Boston.

yeah but Fultz would be a bigger splash...No reason for Magic to worry about anything.

Besides, this one year won't make much of a difference. They still need to bring in some top talent.

Fultz may be the better player but Ball would make the bigger splash. My gut tells me Magic wants him badly. All it takes is for him to believe someone else may trade up to grab Ball and he might panic.

If I were Boston I would approach the warriors and trade them both my first round picks, Amir Johnson and considerable cash for draymond green. I doubt they would do it but it would be worth a shot. Warriors could go get a young superstar and groom him for a few years, and when curry, thompson and durant retire they would have a fresh superstar to build around. I think it makes sense for both. wow, the celtics with green and hayward added to this roster might make them champions next year.

Magic didn't become a successful businessman by being stupid and panicking over what someone else may do. I believe that the Lakers want Ball. But they're not gonna make a foolish trade just to get him. Not when you 2 more potential star players that play his same position.

Not a bad idea, but if I was Golden State I would potentially want Boston's number 1 next year to try and get Bamba. Curry is going to be the de facto PG for the next 5-10 years for them.
